Great, but take the age guidelines seriously
I got this drum for my 9-month-old, but discovered that the mallet has a tiny ball on one any and is pretty small/pokey on the other. And the drum doesn't really work without the mallet. Since it is adorable, however, and I just put it aside until she is a bit older. In the meantime, the Remo baby drum has been outstanding for an infant/young toddler.

Great but quiet
Great size, cute and good materials. It is just a bit difficult for young kids to get a good drum sound out of it. It is quite quiet unless you hit it very hard.

Adorable design and good quality
Adorable design and good quality, but this drum just doesn't make a good sound. It's a rather soft "drum noise, so my 11 month old isn't too interested.

... as we have other Green Tones instruments that we love! He loved this drum
I bought this for my son's birthday as we have other Green Tones instruments that we love! He loved this drum, and plays with it constantly and the sound is amazing. However, after 2 days the paint began to peel on the drumstick and the fabric began to fray. Now less than a month after he received, the drum part is falling off the bear base.

Very Sweet Bear Drum!
This is a wonderful drum for young children! It is wooden, sturdy and oh so sweet! It has a little handle at the top, or it can be placed on a flat surface. I would have given it a 5 star rating, except for the fact that it comes with a very skinny drumstick, which I do not believe is appropriate for children under 3 years. It works well with the drum, but I opted to put it up for a few years and bought a smaller, chunky, softer drum stick from another company. This also works well and my young granddaughters can enjoy making music in a safe way!

Adorable Drum
My son loves banging on this drum. He also loves the rope handle. It is cute and durable and makes a pleasant sound. We are pleased with this item.

Not a very effective drum
Really cute, but doesn't really work as a functional drum. I have to it hit it just right with my hands in order for it to make a drum noise. It does work with the stick provided.
