The tranquil nighttime scene depicted on this puzzle does remind me of the Finnish countryside, because of the types of houses, and the scenery (the mountains excluded, of course). However in all actuality, the image most likely is of somewhere in Canada, which is where the artist who's artwork this is, is from. The artist, Louise Marion, paints in a style known as "colorist expressionnism". She really is very talented, and this picture puzzle is a prime example of just how beautifully she paints. Because of that, I really wish that this puzzle included a poster, like some puzzles do, but it did not. While I haven't done the entire puzzle yet, as I haven't the time just yet, I did piece together a few pieces. They all were of excellent quality and thickness. They also went together very easily, yet stayed snapped together firmly. This particular puzzle when fully completed forms a good-size 20 inch square. In conclusion, the main reason I do puzzles is for optimal brain health through the enjoyable stimulation, completing them, provides me. This is Especially Important for anyone 40 and over, to maintain, and prevent losing brain function, as we get older. Remember if you don't use it, you lose it: That goes for your brain Too! So for the Exceptional Quality, Design, and Enjoyability Factor, I certainly recommend this Springbok jigsaw puzzle. It's also made in the good old USA, and is a terrific value too!
