Great Puzzle!

Bought this to do with my 9 year old nephew before surprising him with a trip to his first real escape room. It was a little bigger than I thought it would be but wasn’t an issue. My only warning would be to watch out for the puzzle dust. We dumped the piece straight out of the bag and had puzzle dust everywhere. Nothing a little vacuuming couldn’t clean up. We had a lot of fun trying to figure out the clues. Can be a little tricky, but thankfully the QR code helped us understand what we were getting wrong. Really cool puzzle that adds some additional fun and helps with creative thinking.

Like several puzzles in one
Build the puzzle, then go on to the next step to solve six escape room like puzzles to find a solution to the story. There are instructions in multiple languages and a QRC to scan for help (with 3-4 steps/hints) in solving each of the additional puzzles or just to double check that you came up with the correct answers. I know this puzzle is supposed to be for kids, but the Escape puzzles are hard for any age. The puzzle is colorful and was easier to build than some others that they make. I am a fan of the Escape puzzles and have bought many of them. Yes, a lot of times the puzzles are hard, even those designated for kids. I like the 368 piece ones as they are quicker to build. Will kids have problems solving this one - my guess is yes, but challenging to think outside the box. Adults can enjoy this too and might actually prefer the kids puzzles over the grown up ones. Many of the Escape puzzles have difficulty ratings on the box, but quite frankly, I don't agree with most of them.

Great twist to a regular jigsaw puzzle
My kids (7 and 9) loved this puzzle! For those that don't know about Ravensburger Escape Puzzles, here's some background: When you build the puzzle, there are parts in the picture that look different from the picture on the box. Those differences are clues that lead to different number answers. The numbers are all on the edge of the puzzle. Find the clue, solve the puzzle, find the corresponding puzzle piece, and rebuild the pieces to get your final answer! (In this case, you're trying to figure out how to escape a haunted amusement park when the only way out has broken tracks.) My kids have cooled on doing jigsaw puzzles over the last few years, but they eagerly put this together in a day. They then immediately wanted to solve the clues. There was not a single mention of wanting to play video games that day. I was able to figure out the clues myself and guided them when they had trouble, but there is a scan code you can use for hints, and the final solution is in a white envelope in the box. We are eagerly awaiting the next kids escape puzzle!

Two pieces missing
We love Ravensburger puzzles and have bought over 20 in the past 2 years from various places, either online or brick and mortar stores. The quality is always top notch but out of the last 3 puzzles we have bought, 2 of them have been missing pieces. This Escape puzzle is missing 2 pieces which is super disappointing for my kids (12,10,7yo) as there could be clues contained within the missing pieces, plus the puzzle is incomplete. We opened it up 2 days ago and finished it today, but since it has passed the return window (I bought it last month) I cannot return it. We are disappointed that the Ravensburger quality control has deteriorated.

Done in a few hours
My family of teenagers sat down and knocked this one out in an afternoon. They absolutely loved doing it and even enjoyed trying to figure out the clues. We can’t wait to do another escape puzzle.

Excellent (until the last step)
Ok the actual solution was a bit underwhelming and not very clever (my 9 year old suggested it in the first 5 mins). But the other 95% of assembling and working out the clues was a solid 5 stars. My son loved it and didn't even think of video games for 4 hours (win!). This was our first one so we didn't get the concept and used the QR code clues. They are excellent, there are 4 levels of tips you can reveal as needed. You have to look for numerical codes in the puzzle, then matching them to edge pieces. You then remove those edge pieces and use them to build a mini puzzle to show the answer. At first I picture we were looking for pictorial clues and trying to explain the differences in the picture, but nope, they are just there to help you work out numbers.

Erstklassig wie immer. Wir haben aus dieser Reihe bestimmt schon 13 oder 14 Puzzle fertig gestellt. Es macht sehr viel Spaß, fördert die grauen Haare und macht in geselliger Runde den Abend bunt. Gute Qualität, tolles Motiv, langer "Spielspaß". Kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen, wobei ich gestehen muss, das der Fokus auf dem Puzzlen liegt und absolut nicht auf dem Lösen der Rätsel.
