Similar to Polly Pocket but with cute little gem friends
This is our first time hearing of Pinky Promise Gemmy Friends and my daughter absolutely LOVES them! They kind of have a Polly Pocket and Shopkins vibe to them. Super cute! If your child loves Polly Pockets or similar sets, I think they should really enjoy this!! You get two small playsets - one diamond and one heart - a Promise Key, diamond locket, and 2 adorable Gemmy Friends. There are A LOT of Gemmy Friends so you can buy some figure sets for even more fun! (every parent's dream... collectible figures for their kids to go crazy over, LOL!!!!) *You do have to put the decals on yourself so little ones are probably going to need some help with that to get them applied correctly and evenly. You can ride a float in the fountain, slide down the sliding board, dance on stage, or sit and enjoy some ice cream. The furniture is all attached to the set and there aren't any tiny loose accessories included making these great to take with you on the go!

Absolute Hit with Our Little Girl
These turned out to be a great surprise gift for our Daughter. She has always been a fan of the do-it-yourself bracelet and charm kits. But she's never seen anything quite like this in stores before. Neither have my Wife nor I, for that matter. So we had a feeling that our Little Girl would be really excited when she saw the set, and she definitely was. There are different ways to "customize" the ring and necklace so that it can reflect your child's style (or even mood). We figured that what we would do is order more sets from the different series available. Some for our Daughter, some for her cousin that's about the same age. And then they can even do little trades during visits and sleepovers. The reasonable price for the set also makes it a really good choice for something like a holiday stocking stuffer, or the nicest item in a "party bag" that each kid gets for your child's birthday party. I think the fact that they're so unique will definitely make them a hit at any party, or even as a simple present (or reward). Because the pieces are more on the "soft" side and not hard plastic also makes them a practical gift for smaller kids around age 4 in particular. There aren't too many sets out at this exact moment, but I expect that to change very soon as they become more popular. The next thing we'll be ordering for our Daughter specifically will probably be the Unicorn Garden/Diamond Palace play sets (both come in the same package). There are some adorable extras and little accessories with those that we're sure she's going to love. For now, they get a thumbs up from Dad, Mom, and most important, Daughter!

these are junk. break easy, don't fit on fingers. my daughter didn't like these at all. not a good product.

Somewhat fragile toy
These are really kind of junky. It looked like polly pocket style, but not even close. It does have a lock for both playsets, but it is really cheap plastic. This is probably meant for really young kids (3-5). The pieces can be arranged for play, but nothing stays in place.

My review is for the Pinky Promise Gemmy Friends Pretend Play Pack with 8 Surprise Characters — Create Your Own Princess Jewelry Toy — 80 Different Gems to Collect and Wear — Gift Kids and Girls for Ages 4, 5, 6, or 7 This was for our almost 8-year-old who I swear gets most satisfaction out of opening things and then seeing what they "got" versus the entire line of something available. You know, those unboxing youtube videos of toys... Mostly junk, but a fun gift for a day or so. Well, this is one of those for sure -- she hadn't heard of this brand (and neither had I, for that matter). But it's presented nicely, with most of the ring "gems" visible but one hidden within the product packaging for that excitement factor (LOL). The ring/gems are fine. This is definitely NOT the toy to get if you don't like little pieces getting lost that you could step on, lego-style!
