This cute cake. My daughter sings happy birthday all day it’s a fun toy to play with. The colors are cute the cake layers are yellow and orange and it came with a little cake cutter! This toy is very educational. This toy is very durable it’s all wooden even the cake tray.

Very cute!
Very cute, bright color and design, perfect size for my 5yr old to play bake shop and serve everyone cake slices. The stackable design and ability to be "cut" into slices helps encourage imagination. Durable toy, which is a requirement in my zoo...I mean home! Works perfectly with her little tea set.

The perfect birthday gift
First of all. It’s adorable. Second, my kids love playing with this. It’s a staple in our play kitchen and lives right next to our tea set. The biggest kick my kids get is signing happy birthday to me/themselves every time it’s assembled.

Pretty, pink and white, wood
I got this for my daughter's 4th birthday. I've seen this in stores before and we have multiple Melissa and Dough items, so I had a good idea of what to expect. This toy cake is a good size for little kids. The slices, the candle and decorations all attach with Velcro. My daughter really enjoys playing with this. I knew she would as she adores the cake Lego set from duplo as well. My son, 5, also likes to play with the cake. It has a candle, so it encourages them to have birthdays for various toys and it is generally a fun interactive item that promotes imaginative play and can fit multiple pretend situations and a household with small children. Why 4 stars? Like another reviewer said, I've noticed paint coming off quickly. This is not the case with other toys from this brand. It isn't a huge amount of paint, it doesn't bother me too much because my kids no longer put everything in their mouths all the time. But this is a consideration. Also, the box it comes in is sturdy cardboard. But M&D have so many toys that come in wood boxes, why not this one? And the box has no lid. This isn't a terrible thing, but I wish it came in a box that was easy to store and transport with a lid.

Great Gift
As with all Melissa and Doug products this is heirloom quality. The colors are bright and there are several ways to stack up this birthday cake and slice it. There is nothing to break or swallow. It's a winner.

Sooo cute!
I bought this as a gift for my niece who is obsessed with everything to do with birthdays. It is so perfect and she loves to "cut" pieces of cake to serve to everyone. It seems to be good quality. The package was a little dented on arrival, but not so much that it bothered me enough to send back.

No plastic Eco friendly
Pretend play cake is very good.. Little expensive. But since it’s not plastic and eco friendly I preferred buying.. My lo loves to play with it.

Great birthday gift
Awesome my 2yr old loved the birthday cake! Especially the candle. Very nice touch. Tray is sturdy and has some weight to it. I wish the serving knife was a bit thinner. Hard to scoop up under the cake pieces.
