I was concerned that these were very small since the previous reviewers said they were smaller than expected. I thought they would be a great present form my grandniece so I bought them despite being worried about the size. I just got them today and was happy to see that they are not tiny, I think they will be perfect for her. The package comes with 11 logs with a cut limb on one side, 11 smooth logs, 22 flat rounds with leaves and 2 squirrels for a total of 46 pieces. There is a cotton bag to keep them all in. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend these unusual forest building blocks.

Oh, my goodness, how precious! I did not pay any attention to the block measurements while ordering, so I was expecting them to be larger, "block sized"! I actually giggled when I opened the box--just so cute! My preschool students will love them, I know it, and many need the smaller size to develop fine motor strength and control. I am delighted, very pleasantly surprised! Great quality , too.
