Timeless Classic Meets Architectural Digest
Really a great set-uses the original wooden Lincoln Logs , but incorporates new plastic pieces for a modern 21st century look!

Nostalgic memories
I got these for the adults. My husband and I both have fond memories of Lincoln Logs so upon seeing these I had to give them a try and see how they held up through to the modern times. These are fantastic. The logs have the same classic shape and feel and the quality is outstanding. Each and every wooden piece was perfect and without a single defect. The plastic pieces are new and completely modernized from the old red triangles that served as rooftops before. These took about a minute to get used to before loving the upgrade. These took pieces are made to where they can have multiple uses that’s only limited by the imagination. The instruction page that shows you how to build the structure on the box (and a couple other styles) was easy to follow, but slightly difficult to see certain areas of the build. These could be made better, especially as how younger children may have difficulty following along. All pieces, wooden and plastic alike are very well made and look great. These logs definitely stand up to the test of time and the change of modernization. Great toy/gift for any age or generation.

As good as ever
Very nice set – keeps kids busy. Larger plastic blocks may be a better starting point for kids under 4, but these are a good next step. The quality is still there after all these years.

Like legos but different
I gave this to my grandson who loves building things and he has been absolutely thrilled with it. From the moment he opened the tin he couldn’t wait to start stacking logs, fitting plastic roofs, placing windows and arranging the fire pit and grill just right. His eyes lit up as he imagined the cabin designs coming together and soon he was lost in creative play making his own little wood-retreat world. The set is beautifully made. The real European beechwood logs are smooth, sturdy, and feel satisfying in the hand. The pieces click together cleanly and the plastic elements like the roof, doors and columns complement the wood perfectly. The movable doors, skylight features and balcony add nice touches that allow for imaginative scenes, sharing a backyard barbeque, sitting by a fire, or enjoying a view from the balcony. One of the best parts is how it encourages patience and problem solving. My grandson kept looking at the instructions but frequently diverged to build something of his own design. He learns measurement, balance and planning without even realizing it. Putting it back in the tin after every play session helps teach care for the pieces. Overall this has been a wonderful gift. It gives hours of engagement, fosters creativity, and feels timeless. If you want something that builds more than just structures, something that builds imagination and joy, this Lincoln Logs set delivers in every way.

Modern spin on a classic toy
I ordered the Beechwood Retreat building set to have on hand when my young grandson visits us. He enjoys building things, so I thought he might like it. I will find out the next time he's here. I built the featured cabin myself for practice, and it brought back memories of the building logs I had as a child many decades ago. I was not enthusiastic initially about all the plastic pieces in this modern set, but during the course of construction, my attitude changed. The plastic building sections and the accessories undoubtedly improve the overall play value and expand what can be built compared to the rudimentary all wood sets from the last century. Quality of both the wooden logs and plastic pieces is superb. I like that a durable and colorful steel storage container is included rather than a cardboard box. I also like that it's possible to build other structures limited only by one's imagination. When completed, the Beechwood Retreat cabin measures about 11 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 10 inches high.

Nostalgia Meets Modern Creativity.
Lincoln Logs Beechwood Retreat. I grew up in the 70’s, and one of my absolute favorite toys back then was Lincoln Logs. I can still picture myself sitting on the living room floor, stacking those wooden pieces into cabins and forts, completely lost in my own little world. When I saw this Beechwood Retreat set, I knew I had to get it, and the moment I opened the container, all those memories came rushing back. The feel of the real wood pieces took me right back to my childhood, but what really impressed me were all the new details. Back in my day, it was pretty simple cabins and maybe a fort or two. Now? You’ve got movable skylights, balconies, and even stone-style supports. It’s like Lincoln Logs grew up right along with me. The little extras make it even better, figures, a fire pit, a grill, and even a dog. It adds so much more imagination and storytelling to the building. I would’ve loved that as a kid! Playing with this alongside my family feels like I’m sharing a piece of my own childhood, while also enjoying the fun upgrades of today. It’s both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. If you loved Lincoln Logs growing up, this set will make you smile.

Sweet
Perfect. Just like I remember as a kid. So much to do and build. Perfect to give as a present for the holidays or a birthday. Nostalgic and exciting. Paint colors are good and the tin they come in is awesome.

Not all there
I purchased this item, all the parts wasn't included. I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED. My grandson loves it, but all the set isn't there
