Great set for building a large dino, but requires online access for complete instructions
Woo! It's a Dino! At least, it's a set of pieces that can be used to build different dinos. K'nex are fun toys, much different from other building blocks, and if you already have some, it's easy to add to the collection with this set. I like that they lay more flat on the floor, so they aren't as painful as legos might be if you accidentally step on them. They're also bigger so there's less of an eating risk for young ones. This set includes enough pieces to build one motorized dino, which is pretty cool once completed. Fully assembled, it's about 6 inches wide, 8 inches tall, and over a foot long. There are only enough pieces to build a single dino, which isn't terrible, but the instructions only cover building a single one, and you need internet access for instructions for the others. This was my biggest concern, as younger kids don't always have access to an internet-facing device, and I wouldn't feel comfortable with them doing this. However, if you overlook that, it's still fun to assemble and let these guys walk around!
