Tecnologia e ricerca
Utilissimo per lo studio e la ricerca su elementi di robotica. L'uso è consigliato anche a piccoli studenti che si affacciano con curiosità a questo tipo di tecnologia. Si gioca ma nello stesso tempo si impara anche ad alto livello la programmazione. L'oggetto è costruito con materiali di qualità, resistente all'uso e agli errori di programmazione! :)

DOFBOT versione RPI
Kit pre-assemblato, fatto veramente bene. Le parti in metallo ed i motori con molta coppia lo rendono solido e adatto anche per delle "prese" generalmente difficili per bracci robot di questa fascia di prezzo. Ho preso la versione RPI perchè avevo già una RPI 4 8GB, ma temo che la versione Jetson Nano funzioni molto meglio per gli esempi di riconoscimento facciale / colori e per tutta la parte di AI in generale. Spero che questo Kit venga presto aggiornato da Yahboom per supportare altri sensori, esempio una telecamera 3D, o un sensore Lidar, perchè al momento questa versione RPI, solo con camera HD mi sembra un po' limitata e forse sprecata.

I can say that the delivery of the product was faster than the rest of the ordered products. Also, the assistance from the seller was exceptional. I think it is a very flexible tool to practice your programming skills or to learn. The quality of the materials is premium, the servos move well, you find more than you need in the box (I mean accessories). It takes a little time to set it up.

Raspberry 5 steuert Roboterarm über 6 Servomotoren
Es war das beste an Roboterarmen das ich im Netz gefunden hatte zumal ein Raspberry 5 bereits vorhanden war. Auch die notwendigen Videos zum teachen des Roboterarms waren im Netz leicht auffindbar. Alles in allem war ich also recht zufrieden mit dem neuen Spielzeug.

Not very satisfied
Overall, I’m not very satisfied. Here are some issues I’ve encountered: App Very basic and underdeveloped. It has a lot of room for improvement and seems to have been created with a minimal budget, probably around $10. Functions • Gesture Interaction When activating Gesture Interaction and pressing Switch, the camera image freezes on the last captured frame. As a result, the system cannot detect hand movements because the image remains static and does not update. • Tracking Game It struggles to distinguish the colored object from the background and often fails to follow it correctly. I calibrated the colors multiple times, but the issue persists. • Face Tracking Not very precise. The face tracking is not as smooth as shown in the promotional videos. The system frequently malfunctions and sometimes looks for the face in the wrong direction, even pointing toward the sky. Final Thoughts I haven’t tested the functions I programmed myself yet, but I will provide feedback on those as well. • Material quality: Excellent. • Price: A bit expensive for its performance. A more reasonable price would be around $250.
