Extremely soft and hugable for a young child
Got it for my granddaughter, it's exceptionally soft and has a true owl call, although it's a bit quite, you can hear it, I would like it a bit louder but my wife said you don't want to frighten her in the middle of the night,so I guess the volume is acceptable.

Repeatedly defective
I also ordered the Great Horned Owl for a birthday gift for my grandson who likes owls. (I personally own the Bald Eagle, and it has sounded authentic for several years.) The first owl was delivered to him, and it has a very robotic, high pitched, mechanical sound. Terrible! I ordered a second owl, and its sound was the same. How sad and disappointing. I will not order the product again. I also ordered a Baltimore Oriole, and its sound is authentic. I share the experience of the reviewer who said it's a lovely plush bird as long as you don't press the sound button.

My fascination with owl started when I was a kid i’ve always wanted a stuffed owl of my own and when I saw this, I knew I had to have it. I purchased this about a couple months ago. after my wife, divorced me and I was feeling very lonely . every night I take Mr.tootsiepop to bed his soft fur against my face is comforting as he whispers in my ear how many licks it takes to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop he gets halfway through the number before I gently fall asleep 5 stars would definitely buy him again

Cute replica with realistic sounds
I bought this for my 8 yr old. She loves it and loves to listen to the hoot sounds. Only problem we had was the first one I bought stopped playing the sound shortly after purchase. (There is no way to open it up or replace a battery) I filed a notice on it and was sent a new one ASAP to replace it.

Such a great addition to our school library! I bought the Wild Republic Audubon Great Horned Owl because our theme this year is North America, and it fits perfectly. The details are realistic, the quality is sturdy, and the sound effect is such a fun touch for the kids. It’s both educational and eye-catching—students love it, and it really brings our display to life. Highly recommend for classrooms, libraries, or anyone who loves owls!

Sound on this one isn't great
I got this for my young grandson who is learning his animal sounds. His favorite is the owl. I chose the great horned owl over the snowy owl because on the website the sound is more of a - Whoo, Whoo. Well, they apparently got a professional owl for the website voiceover. The sound on the one I received is kind of tinny and not pleasant to hear - if you can hear it. It sounds more like a sick mourning dove. The sound is very soft, and at first I thought it was defective because I couldn't get it to play. My husband was able to press the box hard enough to produce a sound. But my grandson cannot do it on his own. I like the concept enough, that I thought this one might be defective and I ordered a replacement. We'll see. I also got the goldfinch version and the sound on that one is very good and easy to operate. But the stuffed bird itself is attractive.
