Wickedly wonderful singing doll
This Elphaba singing doll is inspired by the upcoming second installment of Wicked (Wicked for Good), she is sculpted in the likeness of Cynthia Erivo with green skin tone and curly micro-braids styled into a ponytail. The doll wears a black gown with indigo foil details, dramatic colar and distressed sleeves. Finishing off the look is a pair of black asymmetrical boots, that have been used in previous dolls of the character. When you press the button under her chest, the doll sings a snippet of “For Good”. The sound quality is pretty good and not too loud, if you accidentally pressed the button but don’t want her to sing, Just press the button again. This doll has very limited articulation, with only having the basic 5 points (Head, shoulders and legs). But it’s mostly sue to her singing function, she can sit thankfully. The dollar requires LR 44 button cell batteries that are included for demonstration purposes. Overall, I think she is pretty good for being a singing feature doll. I love that she is sculpted to the likeness of the actress. She seems to be durable for play as she doesn’t have a lot of accessories or movable joints. I think this will be a great hit with kids, especially but I also can see adult collectors adding this elphaba doll to their collection.

Beautiful Elphaba Doll, But Packaging Misses the Mark
From the moment I laid eyes on the Wicked Elphaba singing doll, I was genuinely excited—her bold green skin and sweeping floor-length dress looked even more stunning in person, with intricate details that really do the movie justice. You can tell Mattel put a lot of thought into the doll’s look, and the bright, theatrical packaging hints at the magic inside. There’s something about pressing the button to hear “For Good” that brings a smile, and her outfit is true to the character, with lovely braids and plenty of shelf appeal. Unfortunately, my excitement deflated faster than a flying monkey on a rainy day when I realized the packaging was…well, let’s just say it could use its own visit from Glinda. Despite no visible damage to the shipping box, the doll’s package arrived already splitting open. The design itself just doesn’t seem built to withstand much movement—one side gaped so badly you’d think Elphaba had cast a spell to set herself free. For anyone who collects dolls, or plans to give this as a gift, it makes things tricky. The clear plastic front came loose at the seam, which meant I had to get creative just to keep everything together long enough for an unboxing photo. Holding the box, it was obvious the structure isn't up to par for what should be a display-worthy collectible. The way the doll is showcased is beautiful, with that gorgeous Oz-themed backdrop, but the cardboard and glue combo just can't keep up. My own attempt to re-secure it ended up with packaging tape making a guest appearance, which isn’t exactly Emerald City glam. Overall, the Elphaba doll herself is wonderful and worth showing off, and if you’re buying for a child who’s going to immediately free her from the packaging, you’re in great shape. But if you’re hoping for something you can display in mint condition or hand to someone as a pristine gift, brace yourself for some disappointment. I really wish the box lived up to the quality of the doll inside—you might say the only thing truly wicked here is the packaging design.

Such an exciting doll!
I have loved the movies ever since they came out and I probably love this doll even more than my daughter does. I love how she sings and it's not as super short snippet she actually sings for a long time. She fits right in with other dolls of similar size. She's a great value considering her quality and everybody is in love with the movie. She's so cute and has just enough detail. Durable material, and I love the way she is packages.

Elphaba
This Elphaba is beautiful and incredibly detailed. I love the bright packaging. She sings For Good and the audio is nice and crisp. I think this would make a wonderful Christmas present for any wicked fan, young or old. Her dress is beautiful and nicely detailed and she is very posable. At its sale cost, I think it’s a great value and might also make a great collectors item.
