Great Day in the Morning - Great story, well acted.
I was very pleased to get this rare movie, even though the print seemed to be slightly bleached. But my copy of the DVD was not scratched, as in the case of the other reviewer, so that was a relief. It's an exciting film about the escapades of adventurers and secret agents in Denver during the run up to the American Civil War, and is well directed with good acting. The lead players, Virginia Mayo and Robert Stack are good, but the real acting is done by the second leads, gorgeous Ruth Roman and hunky Alex Nicol (not nearly enough of him!) and two of the best Baddies in the business, Raymond Burr and Leo Gordon. It's a Spanish product, but played fine in English, minus subtitles, with just a few presses of the remote control button. I seem to have got the last copy but would buy it again if a clearer version came out - perhaps as a digital download or in Blue-ray.
