Descrizione del prodotto Flynn, un designer di videogiochi a cui sono stati rubati i giochi dal suo ex datore di lavoro, vuole a tutti i costi recuperare delle prove che facciano valere i suoi diritti. Superbe steelbook pour un film magique
Le steelbook est superbe et l'intérieur aussi, il reprend une illustration des "Light Cycles". Quand au film c'est une question de génération, moi je suis allé le voir au cinéma j'avais 12 ans et je ne m'en lasse toujours pas. Une époque où Disney savait ce qu'était la magie !

Piqûre de nostalgie en version 4K
Tout le charme du vintage, de la SF, une histoire simple à retour dans le passé, aucun regret d’avoir pris cette ultime version en format physique.

tres bon film a l ancienne 1 peu date mais precurseur mais 1 poil ennuyeux quelque part de bons acteurs et un visuel reussi a l epoque ds le 2 ils poussent ça encore plus loin

Je me souviens encore parfaitement des sensations agréables et excitantes à l'idée d'aller voir ce film au cinéma en 1982. J'étais encore adolescent. Le premier ordinateur personnel allait ou venait de sortir (le TI994a, pour lequel les ruptures de stocks furent légion devant l'engouement à se le procurer). Les jeux vidéos étaient encore assez rudimentaires, mais représentaient un attrait sans doute comparable à celui qu'éprouvent les jeunes adolescents d'aujourd'hui. Et, dans ce contexte, ce film sort. Certes, le film a sans doute un peu vieilli aujourd'hui, quoique... Je l'ai acheté en VHS il y a deux ou trois ans pour le montrer à mes enfants (il était introuvable en DVD, et il semble toujours l'être puisque je vois que ce produit est toujours indisponible). J'avais peur d'être déçu ; mais j'ai retrouvé quelques sensations agréables. L'histoire de deux amis experts en informatique qui se trouvent projetés dans les jeux vidéos. Avec des scènes passionnantes et marquantes, notamment celle avec les motos et les trajectoires qu'il ne faut surtout pas couper si l'on ne veut pas périr (à l'époque, j'ai mis plusieurs années à trouver le jeu vidéo quelque part, puis ai dépensé agréablement quelques pièces de deux francs pour faire quelques parties). Dernier argument pour justifier les cinq étoiles : le film était véritablement novateur et original. Aujourd'hui, le charme de ce que l'on pourrait considérer comme un "classique", pour le genre. Avec le nouveau qui va sortir au cinéma dans quelques jours, je crains le pire... mais on verra bien. J'ai peur de ne plus retrouver l'esprit initial, que les effets spéciaux contemporains prennent le pas sur le scénario. Mais j'espère être agréablement surpris, on ne sait jamais...

Maakt een aantal interessante voorspellingen
Grappig weetje is dat TRON en TROFF een commando subset zijn in QuickBasic die staan voor Trace On en Trace Off. QuickBasic wordt niet genoemd, maar de uitleg van wat het commando doet zit wel in de film. TRON als film maakt een aantal voorspellingen: (1) Het misbruik van het World Wide Web om ideeën/programma's te stelen door met wat in de film een Master Control Program heet gewoon mensen hun harde schijven af te struinen. (2) De moderne mythologie omtrent de counter-hacker als God-entiteit die het computerachtige systeem met alle 1984 trekken van dien weet te bevreiden. (3) De big-data hype waarbij een schaakprogramma door reinforcement learning niet enkel optimaal leert te schaken, maar zelfs buiten de eigen functionaliteit leert te denken en de controle overneemt van gebruikers. Met name het derde punt is nu zeer sterk aan de orde met door AI gedreven search engines in plaats van de correct werkende bibliotheek systemen zoals we die eerst hadden. In principe betekent reinforcement learning zoals die hier toegepast wordt het indexeren van toestanden gecombineerd met de statistische waarschijnlijkheid dat je die toestand als positief ervaart. De meerderheid beslist in principe voor het individu welke schoenen deze moet dragen en welke film deze moet zien. Dat is ook wat je in de film ziet als het Master Control Program (een voormalig schaakprogramma) de volledige controle heeft en uitoefent. Ik heb in principe twee kritiekpunten op de film. De animaties zijn vaak gebrekkig doordat de gebruikers van de computers om te animeren niet over voldoende creativiteit beschikten om hun computer te doorgronden en optimaal te gebruiken. We hadden met gemak in de jaren 80 de animaties van het niveau dat we nu hebben moeten kunnen hebben. De karakters zijn geschreven met de mentaliteit van kinderen die net de eerste hormonen door het lijf hebben gieren, maar met het inzicht van kleuters, zodat ze geen flauw idee hebben wat liefde en een relatie inhoudt. De "volwassenen" in de film gedragen zich als de ongeïnteresseerde kinderen op een lagere school, die vinden dat ze het toch even allemaal wel kunnen, alsof het allemaal een spelletje is. Dat laatste is ook te zien met het gebrek aan inzicht van Flynn in hoe levensbedreigend de situatie voor hem eigenlijk is. Wel een leuke film om te zien, maar als volwassene erger je je gewoon aan een aantal psychologische dingen.

La película que inició todo un hito en el cine por la técnica de colores usada para resaltar los trajes de luz y el uso de cgi en un tiempo en que era prácticamente impensable! Todo un clásico!

TERRIFIC CLASSIC...but Disney is NOT setting those stupid prices
First, this is a fantastic classic from the dawn of the computer age as we know it today. The movie came out just after the birth of the IBM PC. Back in those days the concept of distributed computing was unknown outside of the computer room. Main frame and mini-computers lived in air conditioned secured rooms, hosting a bunch of dumb video terminals for the users. Most people had no idea of how they worked and they were usually found only in big companies. Even today the special effects, though quaint by modern standards, are still impressive and the story line is pretty good. But the visual concepts from back then of what it would be like to actually be inside of a computer is what makes this movie really special and fascinating. To say the movie was conceptually far ahead of it's time is an understatement. The video quality in this version is great and looks impressive on my 65" screen with the upscaling provided by my Blu Ray player. Color saturation is rich but not overdone and the images are crisp and clean although you can see the black outline around each character from the matting process. The 5.1 sound is also very clear and clean with good surround sound effect. All in all, it's a terrific movie that all sci-fi fans should have in their library. As for the exorbitant prices being charged for the movie now, bear in mind that it is not Disney that's setting those stupid prices even though they undoubtedly contributed to the situation by not producing any more copies of this movie and/or forcing distributors to return unsold stock. But the prices you see are being set by greedy resellers, for the few copies they have left in stock, who are basing them on the law of supply and demand and hoping they can find enough suckers who want a copy of this movie badly enough to pay them such ridiculous prices. I'm just thankful that I bought my copy from Amazon before these greedy moron resellers jacked up their prices. You'll notice that Amazon is not selling this particular movie; they are just providing access to other resellers who are. Actually I think Disney is being very short sighted and greedy itself in trying to prevent sales of this movie because they think it will negatively impact their revenue from the new Tron Legacy release. It they were really smart, they would have done a digitally remastered Blu Ray version and promoted that to drum up additional interest in the new movie. That way they would have made even more money off both products. I know I certainly would have bought a remastered Blu Ray version and also gone to see the new movie. Bottom line, just don't buy this movie until the prices come back down to a reasonable level. I think that after the new movie has been out for a few months, these prices will come back down to a reasonable level, especially if no one buys from these greedy resellers until they bring the prices back to down to reasonable levels.
