We put a new deck on the house we were flipping. I wanted to update the look and hate the look of wooden spindles but also had to keep the budget in mind. These spindles were exactly the clean, simple, updated look I wanted but were very budget friendly. We had to cut about an inch off each to achieve the look we wanted but it was easy to do with a pair of bolt cutters. They were super easy to install. They are hollow but for the price that was expected. They look great and we have already received compliments and requests for information about where to buy them. If you are expecting solid steel or thinking that they would restrain a charging bull look elsewhere. If you are looking for a low price and beautiful solution for your deck, this is the product for you. The included screws worked great for us, even without a pre drilled hole.

Excellent! But use your own screws!
These were perfect and exactly what we needed to finish off our new deck railing. Very lightweight endurable and looking forward to them, not needing to be stained like the old redwood spindles we had before it. You can see in the pictures I provide the screws either fully bent just applying some pressure or they stripped, trying to put them in without a pre-drilled hole. With a pre-rolled hole they definitely went in better, BUT I would still suggest getting a higher quality pack of screws for these.

Screws a junk
Spindles look nice but the screws are really low quality. It would have been better to just not include screws so you’d have a better screw ready for install. Screws stripped and snapped easily.

Need to be made stronger
Ever held a Hamms beer can? Well the beer can is stronger than what these are . They look great but with IRC Regulations needing handrails to withstand 200 pounds of force these won't do that .
