A contender for one of the worst SH Figuarts ever made
When I first saw screenshots of this figure, I thought to myself: "oh this looks like neat". I made a mistake. Pro: Looks nice when other people pose and play with it. Cons: The Lacus Clyne box does not come with a display window that most SH Figuarts have. You have to open it to display it. (or have a really expensive picture box, I guess) For whatever horrific reason, the sides of her hair are 2 small pieces of plastic that are separately attached to her face plate and not her head sculpt. Each time you want to try a new face, you have to reattach the side of her hair to that face plate. Those things don't like to stay on (for me) and are incredibly small and easily to lose. It heavily limits where this figure can be displayed without risking losing parts from getting bumped into/falling over/acts of God. The back of her hair is a separate piece attached via ball joint. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but its one more thing to pay attention to while making sure you don't lose her side hair pieces. She has a very low range motion for her neck. Thanks to her robe, her arms have a limited range of motion in the shape of a V. She can't put her arms straight in front of her. Thanks to her skirt, her legs have no range of motion. I had no intention to have her pose off against Jackie Chan, but a little bit of range would have helped a lot... Her legs have the same problems as 2B, where Lacus struggles to stand on her own. Unlike 2B which came with a clear base to help display and pose her, SHF only included a small clear box that the instructions suggest putting the cape on top of to help her balance. It doesn't work very well. Her feet are also loose on my figure, which really doesn't help.. And that bird accessory... I really wanted to like it, but I gave up trying to have it stay in her hand. The depressing thing is this Lacus Clyne is originally $90. I don't think its worth the struggle even at $50.

Retroactive Premium Action Figure DLC (derogatory (affectionate))
(Item reviewed purchased from a 3rd party. Your experience with an Amazon-fulfilled unit may vary.) Well, the cat's out of the bag: COMPASS Surcoat Lacus is so spartan and inflexible because she's intended to be a "helmetless head" add-on to the (upcoming Q3 2025) Pilot Suit Lacus SH Figuarts. If you're like me and locking in for completion's sake, or just a Lacus scale figure absolutist, the one-word summary of this go-round would be "perfunctory". If you were looking to get ahead of her proper headswap mate, your pickings are slim. A 2.5mm neck ball makes pulling Lacus's noggin off easy enough long as you refrain from twisting, but severely limits her range of alternate placements - too narrow for High Grade Gunpla or Bandai Shokugan releases like G-Frame endoskeletons (3mm), and utterly unable to contemplate Kotobukiya neck balls (4mm Frame Arms Girl/5mm Megami Device). I've heard 2.5mm is the standard on Snail Shell's fantasy girl figures - good luck trying to retrace those between old stock evaporating and the Lustia redeco emerging into the same 100+% tariff regime Pilot Lacus is facing. Accessories include handsets (note the lack of any hands for a sword/gun/etc. grip), Haro and Blue (note the lack of any stability notches; gravity alone is meant to cradle them in the flattest palms Lacus has), and a clear plastic prism to rest Lacus's coattails on in standing poses (note that you are intended to rest painted triangular points onto a rigid square surface). Instructions for all these are printed on the box flaps (note the paint transfer shield films at Lacus's neck and waist when unboxing - this is why the MISB sticklers can't have a view window). An array of faces is included, and also only one set of hair bangs that must be swapped onto whichever face you choose to display (my experience with their stability seems to be better than most). Lip balm paint apps seem to be one of the most inconsistent details across the faces. For what Lacus is trying to do (stand there and look cute/authoritative), this figure is fine. For what this figure is ultimately meant to be...it should've sold for the JPY equivalent of $45 USD. 55 if they'd given her a Tamashii Stage ACT.5 with a bespoke claw arm instead of the funny ice brick prop. Recommended for SH Figuarts completionists and serious Rie Tanaka simps only.

Wife loves it!
Perfect gift for your wife if she loves the gundam series. We are huge fans of the Gundam series and wife loves the characters especially Kira Yamato. Another one of my great buys added on my list of great buys.

Good packing and quality!

Disappointing quality
The quality control is very disappointing. I understand there may be defects but such defects o the face and head are unacceptable Update: I thought I was just unlucky so I got one with obvious defects and I decided to buy another brand new one. This time I got a broken one. It is completely unbelievable and ridiculous. I am really disappointed with this garbage level quality
