Keeping your tablecloth in place during a breezy outdoor gathering can be a nightmare. Well, the Talking Tables Reusable Marble Stone Star Pendant Outdoor Tablecloth Clips have become my secret weapon against windblown picnics! These little clips are both stylish and functional. The marble stone star pendants add a touch of elegance to your table setting, and they're weighty enough to hold down even a light tablecloth on a windy day. No more scrambling after wayward fabric or flapping corners interrupting the fun. The clips themselves seem well-made. The grip is strong, and they attach securely to the table without damaging the fabric. Plus, the marble stone feels nice and smooth in your hands, and they come in a variety of colours to suit your table setting. They're also surprisingly versatile. While they work great for outdoor picnics, I've found them useful for indoor tablecloths too, especially when you have curious little hands or pets that love to yank at the corners! Now, they're not the most high-tech solution. They're just basic tablecloth clips with a bit of weight and style added. But for their intended purpose, they work very well.

Got rusty
I got these to weigh down a tarp over a sandpit. They look lovely so I think being outside for a short time would work, but I foolishly thought they’d last the good British weather. They did not. The metal got rusty in a couple of weeks so I ended up throwing them out which was a shame as they really were perfect until I saw the rust.

A quality set of tablecloth clips that works
These tablecloth clips are both practical and decorative. They do a good job of keeping the tablecloth on the table when dining outside. They help prevent the breeze flicking the edge up and potentially on to food, plates or drinks. This has happened on more than one occasion to us and it can be both annoying and cause drinks to spill or worse. There is a nice weight to each marble star which enables them to hold the edge of the cloth down. However if you have a large cloth you may need more than one set. The stars natural marble stone colour means they don’t stand ‘garishly’ against any tablecloth or furniture. They are wonderfully tactile and although they are 3D stars the edges are not pointed. The clip and rings feel strong and should last for a long time. These feel like a quality item and working out about £3 each seem a fair price to pay for the reassurance they provide.

What a super concept! These attractive weights are both practical and look smart. They’re also multifunctional. Apart from clipping onto your outdoor tablecloth to weigh down the edges on breezy days, I particularly wanted to try them on an exterior voile curtain. We have a voile hanging on the outside of the kitchen door during Summer to allow a gentle breeze to pass into the house but to keep the flying bugs out! Problem was the breeze would make the voile billow allowing the pesky creatures a way in, but with these weights along the bottom they will keep the newly weighted fabric in place yet still allowing us to walk through.(I previously slipped coins into the hem, but they were not heavy enough). The smooth, solid marble stars feel a decent weight, (collectively weighing 138g). The silver tone clips compliment the white marble. Simple pincer clip operation. I wouldn't leave them outside in inclement weather, simply to keep the metal ring & clip looking good and to preserve that part from any potential issue long-term. *EDIT, didn't take my own advice & left the weights outside overnight during rain... I was surprised how quickly they became rusted ????

Marble Star Tablecloth Clips
In the pack you get four reusable marble star tablecloth clips. The stars in the pack I received are all slightly different to one another - which I like. The stars are attached to the tablecloth clip by a split ring, so you can easily remove them from the clip and use them for something else if you want. I'm often losing my keys so I'm going to attach one of the stars to my keyring to make it a bit easier to find. Be aware the stars (whilst small) are made from marble and are therefore quite heavy (hence why they make such good tablecloth weights). The product you receive is comparable to that shown in the photographs on the product page, though as I said my stars had a little more variation between them. Overall - product as described, just what I was looking for, I'm very happy.
