Missing key
I received duplicate of one key and missing one I needed. Already glued and screwed the kalimba so can't really return it at this point.

Missing a D2 key.
Happy to recieve and came sooner then expected. However upon assembling I noticed I was missing a D2 key. Is there any way I can retrieve one without purchasing a new set?

Great Kit… but…
As you can see have made several kalimbas to date and the parts are fantastic for the price. The downside is there are no instructions period in regard to spacing. Fortunately, I had another kalimba that I had purchased to take measurements from and they seemed to work well. Bottom Line: Great Kit.

Too thick + wrong steel = no sound
I challenge anyone to build a resonant kalimba with these particular tines. They are short, thick, and not made of spring-steel. Zero properties of vibration or resonance, they sound no different than wooden popsicle sticks. Might as well try using the tines of a kitchen fork. I assume these cheap kits are meant for school projects, but forget about getting any appealing sound out of them.

Poor tone quality
Only a few of the keys had a good tone to them. The rest sounded dead (like if you would put your finger on it after you plucked it) even after I tried several times to adjust them. I even adjusted the bridge spacing to try to put more pressure on the keys. Are there better quality keys or do you have directions on spacing the bridges?
