Challenging but beautiful
A little overwhelmed when I first started because the pieces seemed to all look the same. It takes focusing your mind to recognize the subtle differences and I am so glad I persevered. It definitely was challenging for a 500 piece puzzle, but so worth the end result.

Great Family Christmas Activity !
Gifted this to daughter and family, children 5, 8, and 10. They got it together before Christmas. Daughter then asked for a puzzle frame so she can display every Christmas, which I also gifted them, so very gratifying for giver and receiver. Not easy to find items that display the True meaning of Chrismas as this Springbok Nativity puzzle does.

Huge disappointment!
This puzzle was either cut with a worn-out jig or insufficient pressure; none of the pieces are cut cleanly. As shown in the 1st and 4th photos, the pieces have burrs on all edges including the parts that connect pieces, and some have defects on the image side. The burrs make pieces that are supposed to go together seem not to fit. Several pieces weren't cut all the way through, and were still connected as shown in the 2nd photo. The puzzle is made of a thicker cardboard than most others but it's soft; combined with the burrs, this makes pieces not snap firmly into place when assembled correctly. As shown in the 3rd photo, burrs show prominently between puzzle pieces, detracting from the beauty of the image. Images of tree leaves, wood, stone and straw are fuzzy and indistinct; this makes it difficult to use visual cues to find the right piece. This is particularly annoying because the edge of the puzzle is made almost exclusively of these visual elements. Assembling the edge is even more difficult because the picture of the finished scene on the box appears to be cropped; there are details on the edges of the puzzle that don't appear on the box. Unlike many other puzzle brands, this puzzle doesn't come with a large full image sheet in the box. In short, I've never seen a more poorly made jigsaw puzzle, or one that's less satisfying to work on. This puzzle costs about twice as much as other 500 piece puzzles on Amazon; in my estimation it's worth less than half as much. I returned it for a refund.

Sturdy cardboard puzzle pieces
Good puzzle, sturdy pieces- will withstand being put together many times. All pieces were present, vivid colors. Would make a good gift puzzle. Always a plus when there is very little cardboard "fuzz/dust" in the box or when handling.
