Excellent product
My 7 year old loves this! He can put it together by himself and can make all the different "robots." This product is durable and well worth the money.

Cool mech that matched the Claymore
My 7.5 year old had no isdue building this by himself. It us a very cool Mech, joints moves, and it goes well with rhe Claymore in design. The 2 baby mechs from the Claymore are dwarfs compared to this one. So it's nice that he has both sets to imagine play with. Very nice quality, although it might separate, snaps back into place nicely.

Super fun mech for both father and son!
So let me start of by saying that I love snap ships in general. This kit makes a really fun mech that me and my son have enjoyed playing with for hours! It's got little missile pods that you press with your thumb to actually fire, and he just gets such a kick out of that. We have little battles with his dinosaurs versus the "robot!" as my son calls it. The articulation of the mech is great - almost too great as it can be a pain to get it to stand up some times because there are so many joints. But once it's posed, it'll stay in it's pose, it's not too flimsy to stand up straight. This kit is probably the single most fun one that both me and my son have been able to enjoy together. The other one he loves is the tank.

Nostalgic reminder of 80s and 90s also-ran toys
I have to say, I'm quite impressed with this toy at this price level. I got it on sale for about $7. The MSRP is around $20 which is more in line with what I would expect these days. For some reason all of 'em are on sale on Amazon right now and if you can get any of these sets under $15 it's a real steal. The full price is not unreasonable for the product but is getting to the point where maybe you or your kid would have more fun with a Ninja Turtle or Transformer. I got these out of nostalgia for similar toys of my youth like War Planets or the humorously named Bone Age, which is probably what this is closest to. You get a bunch of sturdy cubes and greebly decorative bits that can be combined in various ways, but it's kind of not quite a full building toy, it's more about being able to make different kinds of fighting mechs. Instructions are included for 3 different builds, but I only have tried the main one. People have complained about the joints being loose, but I have not found that to be the case with mine, it seems happy to hold in whatever pose I put it in, and will stand up on its own in multiple poses. The only thing I am disappointed with is the little pilot figure. The paint applications are pretty sloppy and it is lacking in detail. Now, it is just under 1 inch tall, so I'm not expecting the world, but the sculpting is vague and under-detailed even compared to figures of a similar size, with most of the details being communicated through the paint details. I got out an old War Planets figurine to check and even though it's only an eighth of an inch taller, the sculpting is way more detailed. The pilot does have a ball joint so it can rotate at the waist and sit down, which is nice. Honestly that is the only issue I have, though. I really like that the top of the box is used as a little stand, so even once the ball and socket joints in the legs start to wear out you'll be able to stand it up.

It was fun to build, looks cooler than he imagined, and pretty sturdy.

Better than Other Snap Together Toys
We were gifted one of these over the holiday and I was sort of dragging my feet on putting it together. Other snappable toys tend to hurt my fingers and I inevitably get frustrated with poor directions at least once, so I wasn't exactly eager to dive into this. BIG mistake! The pieces go together so nicely that even my 7 year old had no difficulty at all. The directions were clear enough that he and I could build it together without any frustration moments AND the top to the container doubles as a stand for your finished piece! How cool is that?! I didn't think the stand would work at first, since the pieces are heavy and the finished product is, as well, but its held up just fine in his room. We loved doing it so much that I immediately ordered this one as a gift for him! Don't sleep on this Snap Ships - they're incredible!

Great Creative Toy
We got this for our 6 year old son, who loves building and making things his own. This is an amazing toy. Well made and very fun. I love that you can change the builds with the interlocking pieces and put your own creative spin on things. The little people are very small, but we haven't lost them yet! Fun little detail!

Excellent battleships for great grandson to play with
If you have seen my reviews on other snap battle ships, it explains the same about each one. Easy to snap together and easy picture directions. I am sure each child will enjoy putting these together and playing battles.
