Beautiful turbo jet engine model. Detailed and very challenging build.
This building set makes a beautiful looking turbo jet engine model. Overall, this company Mould King makes good looking buildable models. Their bricks assemble quite well and their models are stable. This engine is part of a series of classic engines that they offer, that I can say are very detailed and well designed to achieve good display features and functionality. This model comes with an electric motor that makes the transmission spin. This makes the display more fun and dramatic. The colors of the bricks are usually homogeneous. In some rare occasions, I have seen the larger bricks may have assembly challenges, but for this set, it is not the case. This model has a lot metallic painted parts. They look great. I recommend (from previous experience) to be careful handling them because they can get scratch and loose the silver shine. The instructions are printed in very good quality paper. They're well printed and clear. I think a 14+ year old, interested in mechanics would find this build exciting. An older person with patience and some previous experience would enjoy this build as well. The assembly methodology could be complex to follow for some people. The instructions lack the simplicity and detail of other brands; but they provide enough detail that once the method is understood, it works well. These instructions are condensed. Several steps are applied in every instruction step. This model is quite big. It is one of the larger engine models. But the base it is built on allow for it to be transported without major concerns. This engine is one of our favorite mechanical models.
