The six year old is fascinated
We went to the mall one day and there was a kid's event in the food court for kids for Easter, I think. Anyway, they had the Scratch Magic bunnies with the little scratch tool. He sat there and did 3 of them in a row. This is a kid who has no interest in arts and crafts and prefers nerf guns and legos. He then begged for me to order this kit. I bought it for him. He keeps it in his room, away from the little ones, works on it for hours and puts it away with care for next time. This is the kid who leaves legos out for me to vacuum up and screams when the little ones get a hold of his latest lego creation. I am amazed at how into this kit he is. I will be getting him another one soon.

Simple, tech-free fun for kids
Like most Melissa and Doug products, this is a nice tech-free product for kids. I think this would be good for kids 4-10. What kid (or grownup!) doesn’t love these scratch off pads! It’s a simple but fun activity for kids. I would not recommend for use in the car due to the mess. It’s easy to sweep or vacuum up at home, but I wouldn’t want it all over my car.

Individual Sheets Not Labeled
I LOVE Melissa & Doug. They have a lot of cute "wooden" toys that tend to be overpriced, but they're good quality and good design. When Amazon had a sale on this Art Combo Set, we purchased 2 of them with the intention of splitting up the pieces into three art boxes to be used as Christmas gifts. The sets come with a lot of different sheets of paper (4 rainbow, 4 white-coated rainbow, 4 light-catcher, and 4 silver holographic) but unfortunately you can't tell the difference between any of them because they aren't labeled! The black sheets are all identical (until you start drawing on them). They're individually packaged, so it would have been really easy to just label the plastic bags (of which there were MANY in this set!) Otherwise, I still like the Melissa & Doug brand and will continue to buy.... just wish this set was thought out a little bit better.

Simple, Colorful Fun for All Ages
I bought this for my six-year-old daughter and nine-year-old niece. They both had fun with it, as it makes even the simplest of drawings look really cool. It comes with a few sheets of 4 different types of paper, two drawing sticks, and a lot of stencils. The drawing sticks tend to get dull fairly quickly, but as the instructions indicate, sand paper helps sharpen it back up. It would be nice if it came with more sheets of paper, but other than that, it's a good buy. Best of all, there's no mess to clean up! :)

Recommend to check the sets inmediatelly after receiving
I ordered 2 sets as gifts for christmas, one of the sets was used, unfortunately I didn't check it until today, almost four weeks after they arrive, came with two plastic bags opened, missing two sheets, and missing the tree red frames, also one of the light catcher was already used by some one. Recommend to check the sets inmediatelly after receiving, now for me is too late for any claim or return, the product itself is great because you can display the best of your kids abilities, at home or in your desk.

Fun For Every Kid
I have yet to meet a kid that doesn't love these! We purchased this for an 8-year-old girl to use during a holiday party, and two younger boys (4 and 6) joined in and had just as much fun. We later purchased them for another little girl (5), who I'm told used up all the papers in a day. The kit includes a couple sticks for scratching, some cute stencils, some paper "frames" for completed artwork, and plenty of scratch papers in fun backgrounds. Simple toys are often the best, and this one won't disappoint.
