The Courtroom Battle trio is complete!
Back in the day (hard to believe its been over 10 years already!) in 2009 when I first became a MattyCollector member, was stoked that Mattel was making a series of Ghostbusters during the same time as they were with the first series of MOTUC! This would be the first time ever that figures of the actual GBs from the movie franchise would be made into action figures! Egon Spengler (along with Slimer) was the very first one to be released @ the 2009 SDCC thus spawning all four GBs in various variants with ghosts among other characters even from the video game. When it was all said and done, the Courtroom Battle Venkman & Ray versions were some of the last of the line in 2012 (Zuul was the final figure along with some anniversary packs later on). So, with the line ending we had no Courtroom Battle Egon to complete the trio but with hope he came to be @ the 2015 SDCC! I missed out on this back then but thank goodness Ozone Lair had him here @Amazon for a very low price BN in the mailing box! So with that being said here is brief write-up of the figure: If you have the other 2 CB figures you'll know what to expect. He has nice articulation @ the neck, shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees and ankles. For his accessories he has a lot of them and which IMO they are surprises! He has the usual sculpted on Proton Pack with the removable Neutrona Wand. Now, he has 8 additional gadgets/accessories all of which are new sculpts: The Slime Scooper, The Giga Meter, a version of the KUD Meter, the Globuscope, the Magnifying Glass (with actual lens), The Boom Box, The Toaster with Toast, and The GBII Mug! Sure, the Egon figure is another variant of the character but the accessories alone is worth the purchase IMO + you get a sweet looking CB Egon to complete the trio with Ray & Pete! If you have the Mattel GBs figures, have the other 2 CB characters and don't have Egon then I strongly suggest that you pick him up as soon as you can and if your on the fence about it then think of the accessories, truth is that was the final point that sold Me about getting him! So, with all of this being said, I must say I am quite pleased with this version. I find it amazing and rather odd that they ended it where it began @ the SDCC (seems like a trend: GOT, Avengers, Luther etc.). Tips: If you have this trio Courtroom Battle trio and have the Scoleri Brothers ghosts, (if you have em') get out a Mattel flying stand, you can put both of them in one! Also, a while back when I came to realization that I didn't properly do My Mattel GBs justice and not getting CB Egon, I did My research about the Diamond select GBs figure characters that Mattel didn't make, well they are not in scale with these so I skipped them. Also, I discovered that Hasbro made their own as well just this year. They are a bit in scale but fairly expensive so I'm skipping them or at least for the moment. If you are like Me and wanted more Ghostbusters fun and wanted to build a GB figure collection and missed out from the beginning, then I recommend that you start with the Mattel ones first. After all, they were the original incarnations in figure form and IMO they still hold up greatly as I speak and they are a lot of fun. If you have a lot of funds then by all means you can get the more expensive ones. Another tip, if you have the NECA Gozer, Terror Dogs, Slimer and Mr. Stay Puft, I find that they go really good with the Mattel GBs. Whatever you decide, do your research with reviews on Youtube before you buy! By the way, Mattel also made retro Mego style figures of The Real Ghostbusters from the iconic 80s cartoon back in 2010 which consist of Ray, Egon, Pete & Winston + a special 2 pack of Janine & Samhain with Slimer. These are not in scale with the movie versions but they are also really cool and fun as well. You can still find these guys at somewhat affordable prices.

Another Great Figure
Another Great Figure to add to my collection I only put four stars cause I thought the price was a alittle steep but still worth it
