Perfect choice for a 2 year old
This is a perfect fit for my 23 month old daughter. I like how it folds up quickly and has an adjustable height handle; she loves how easy this is to maneuver and its delightful design. It glides extremely smoothly across sidewalks and seems built to last. Excellent product!

Great Little Scooter!
What a great little scooter! I wasn't sure if my 2.5yo is interested in a scooter yet so I figure I'd buy one that's inexpensive. Having 2 wheels in the front is very important to help him balance better. Unfolding it for the first time is very easy, not sure why the other reviewers were unable to unfold it. There's a lever you have to pull down before you can unfold the scooter. My son took to the scooter like fish to water, he zooms by and was able to pick up a decent speed on it (I had to chase him on an adult scooter to catch up to him). It's balanced well, and my son was able to figure out that he needs to lean to one side to be able to turn. Overall it's a great little scooter, very well priced, and real sturdy too!

Sturdy and fun!
My 2 year old took to this very easily. She's not even two and a half yet and is very comfortable zooming about on it. Leaning to lean to turn didn't take her long at all to figure out, and was intuitive (I didn't show her). Because you have to lean to turn the turns are wide, so she will sometimes put her feet down and lift the scooter for sharper turns, this doesn't phase her and seems to work fine. Unfolding/folding the scooter is also pretty straightforward, I'm honestly surprised this was something people struggled with. I mean, my 2 year old can't do it, but I'd have honestly expected that adults would figure it out easily. It's lightweight and super easy to carry or put in my car. I got it on sale for usd24, but it's definitely worth its full price. It is sturdy and well made and overall I'm very pleased with it. And my toddler adores it.

appropriate for a wide range of ages
This is the family favorite scooter (I own regular razor scooters too) the children ages 2, 4, and 7 all love riding on it. it is easy to use, the handle is height adjustable and it does not flip over easily. well made and sturdy. We may need to purchase another as there are times everyone wants to use it at once!

Hard to raise handle
Like many of the reviews, I could not get the handle to release no matter how hard I pulled. I finally got my rubber mallet and pounded on the release tab. It finally loosened up enough to pull the tab up and raise the handle. Once it was working my 2 year old grandson loved it. It is the perfect size for him and rolls great. The scooter seems sturdy and well made.

Collapses too easily
Very disappointed! We couldn't get it to unfold at first, the handle would not budge from the base with gentle then moderate pulling. The instructions had no words just a picture that suggests that you only have to pull the handle up from the base. When I looked at what other people did based on the comments and questions on this page, we just man handled by pulling as hard as we could until it did unfold. When we did this we heard a felt a big snap (which didn't sound good but at least it was now unfolded). Im assuming this was wrong because now the scooter folds on its own with very little handling. My daughter can't push the scooter or even get onto it without it collapsing and folding in on itself. She has fallen trying to play with it because it folds in on itself more times than I can count. I finally pitched it because it is extremely unsafe. If I initially unfolded this wrong it is the fault of the company because there we no useful instructions on how to do so nor was there any help on this Amazon page about the scooter. Please keep looking because this is not the one!

a great scooter opening is simple
a very portable high-quality scooter despite having reservations about buying because of complaints about the folding mechanism its relatively easy if you use common sense (as its not clearly demonstrated in the manual) a) you pull the green latch (quite strongly) that's near the end of the metal handle and simultaneously push to a folding position.

Cute scooter, but couldn't open/unlock
Very cute scooter and perfect for a young toddler, adjustable height and goes low enough for my 16 month old. Low rating because instructions imply that you can just extend sleeve and lift handle to unlock... ours wouldn't do this. Unable to unlock from folded position. Because it's a hassle to return my handy husband ended up just taking the scooter apart to unlock and now we have it up, just won't be able to fold and lock it.... I assume we got a defective one, but with only few ratings it's hard to say.
