Solid and plentiful brushes
While these are just cheap brushes, for a miniature painter they are a fantastic tool to apply basecoat, washes, and just general busy work. Out of the 4 brushes I've used so far they have just been solid workhorses.

Great value and Quality
Perfect shape and size for painting small things or details. Brushes come with a good thickness and taper to a fine point for delicate work. Perfect for arts, crafts, ceramics, miniatures. Good value for your money. (was around $30ish waited till price dropped) making it something like 20-30ish cents per brush.. they have multiple colors for multiple sizes and if you're rough on them you have so many more.. so if you need a lot for a class or simply want a lot for yourself with good quality, this is for you.

Solid budget brushes
These brushes are solid, and even if they werent', at least they dont shed for the price! i've tried a couple of budget brushes and these are by far the best bang for your buck. just dont expect any fine detail work, as these things are pretty thick for miniature painting and do NOT maintain a fine tip.

Best bang for buck but no replacement for quality
Picked up a couple of these sets for my miniature commission studio so far. They make excellent brushes for mass base coating or abrasive paints because the cost per brush is so low. They certainly aren't the highest quality though the bristles are reasonably decent, Guide hairs tend to be very prominent and lose bristles round the edge on maybe 1 in 8 brushes. The tips of the smallest brushes can curl even just in use, never mind if left in water. but even when they do the tip remains reasonably sharp. Can take a reasonable beating from regular use, I've base coated all the colours on a squad of models before losing a nice tip. But once they give up they go to unusable very fast. Washes especially will destroy the bristle coherency in one or two uses. That said I could say the same if not worse about all other synthetic brush sets I've tried and these work out at least half the price per brush of most of those. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THEM, Just don't plan on replacing your nicest sables for fine detail work.

First Impressions
Update in 2025: I use these constantly. I share them with friends, I abuse them, and yet they still can do almost everything I want, even finer details than I'd expect. These are my favorite workhorse cheap brushes. I have purchased a second set as I gave almost fully depleted my original supply. I have not had these very long, so have not developed a firm opinion of them in practice. However, I wanted to provide several photos which I thought could be helpful and my first impressions. The brushes come in a plastic cylinder with tubes on the tips, separated by size, and banded together. There were some plain acrylic spacers in each bundle, which also help you tell what color they are from above. The sizes are color coded and there are 24 of each. Mine came like this: Size 1 = Red, Size 2 = Yellow, Size 3 = Blue, Size 4 = Yellow, Size 5 = Green, Size 6 = Purple. I pulled out one of each to look at a random sampling. These brushes are all new and have not been used. They're straight from the package. As you can see in the photos, some have ferrules that aren't fully inserted onto the handle. There is also a considerable variation in the sharpness of the tips. Many seem "blunted" because the tips don't come to a very sharp point naturally, but that's to be expected from brushes that cost less than a quarter each. Still, some actually look quite nice. I'm sure there are a few of each size in the box that are really good and most of them will just be "okay". Stray hairs will probably be common, but can be trimmed by separating the hair out from the rest and using a hobby knife/blade to snip it off against the ferrule. I think they're worth it for synthetic brushes that you don't have to worry about abusing in applications that would prematurely age or ruin a nicer natural hair brush. The handles are quite thin and not very comfortable, but they work to hold the brush, so you can't fault them too much. The brush hairs themselves are fairly stiff and certainly don't have that soft snap that natural hair brushes do. I like a stiffer brush for some applications. I think they're just fine if you know what to expect of them. I hope that this description and photos help you to know what to expect upon arrival. I hope I will remember to come back with an update once I've had some experience using them for a while.
