Schöner Bausatz, wenn auch nicht wirklich passgenau
Jeder erfahrene Modelbauer würde die Hände über dem Kopf zusammenschlagen, wenn er mich arbeiten sehen würde. Also, der Bausatz ist recht schwierig, da insbesondere viele Teile nicht wirklich gut zusammenpassen. Z.B. gibt es eine ca. 5mm breite Lücke zwischen den beiden Teilen der außenliegenden Rohrleitung, die ich mit Plastilin geflickt habe. Das Anbringen der Triebwerksverkleidungen ist kritisch, da dort gar keine richtige Klebfläche vorhanden ist. Abfallen immer und immer wieder, bis ich es mit Pattex großflächig verklebt habe. Auch ziemlich schwierig ist das Zusammenfügen der Kunststoff-Rollteile mit dem Rest des Rumpfs. Die sind so knapp bemessen, dass man sie einfach nicht über die Kunstofflamellen, die der Verbindung dienen, bekommt. Da half mir nur der Trick, einzelne Lamellen in Abständen rauszuschneiden. Der Rumpf wird dann an diesen Stellen nicht mehr perfekt rund sein, aber man kriegt die Teile zumindest verbunden. Bei durchgehenden Lamellen habe ich Teile rausgeschnitten. Das Problem wird geringer bei der dritten Stufe, da passt es dann auf einmal ohne Nacharbeit.. Das Grausamste aber war für mich die Bemalung des Teils (mit Pinsel). Die Farbe ist überall, auf den Fingern, man patscht auf den Rumpf und voila Farbe ist am falschen Ort. Am schwierigsten ist die Bemalung der geriffelten Teile, die Färbe läuft in den Rillen weiter ins verbotene Gebiet. Da hilf nur eine langwierige Retusche mit der 'richtigen' Farbe.

sehr schöner Bausatz
Alles schnell und sicher verpackt geliefert. Der Bau geht sehr gut von der Hand, wenn man das Prinzip erst einmal verstanden hat. Man muss die einzelnen Baustufen genau abarbeiten. Die Teile passen sehr gut und außer ein paar kleine Gratstücke entfernen, hat man nicht viel Vorbereitungen. Das teilweise Bemalen verlangt dann eine ruhige Hand. Die beiliegenden Farben reichen nicht für alles, helfen aber für den Anfang. Eine Bestellung benötigter Farben ist kein Problem.. Es entsteht ein toller "Hingucker", der bestimmt immer einen schönen Platz finden wird.

Nicht für Angfänger geeignet
Der Bausatz ist nicht für ungeübte Modellbauer oder Anfänger geeignet! Die Teile an den Gussbäumen weisen vielfach schlechte Ausprägungen auf, so dass für Revell ungewöhnlich viel Nacharbeit erforderlich ist. Schon mehrfach durch andere Modellbauer im Netz festgestellt, sind nicht alle Teile zueinander passend. Füllmaterial wird erforderlich. Die beiliegenden Farben reichen nicht aus, es muss nachgeordert werden. In der Anleitung sind fehlende und fehlerhafte Angaben vorhanden. Die besondere Herausforderung sind die planen Folien, die zu Zylindern verarbeitet und dann eingefügt werden müssen. Erfahrende Modellbauer wissen sich zu helfen. In meinem Bausatz fehlten die kleinen Klarsichtteile für die Fensteröffnungen des Landers und der Kapsel. Modellbau ist Kompromiss, auch in diesem Fall. Insgesamt ist das Ergebnis durchaus sehenswert! Ich bereue es nicht, diesen Bausatz gekauft zu haben.

Geschichte
Auch wenn Einige behaupten, die Mondlandung 1969 hätte nicht stattgefunden, saß ich am SW-Fernseher und habe sie zusammen mit meinen Eltern verfolgt. Das MUSSTE ich einfach haben. Eine Überraschung war, dass man das Model nicht nur als Ganzes, sondern sogar in allen Einzelkomponenten aufstellen kann. Also: 1te Brennstufe, 2te Brennstufe, Command-Modul, Lunar Modul, Rettungsrakete usw..... Zusätzlich noch eine kleine Platte der Mondoberfläche, für ein Diorama vorhanden. Tolle Idee!

Assembling is nothing less than torturing your self
The product has parts which are not build with any precision. For example, one part is made of flexible plastic where you have to fix a hard round part which is next to impossible. Putting one on top of another round part can be much more easier by introducing few hooks which can be plugged into corresponding parts. The parts which you need to break are not durable and easy to get broken. The only fun part for kids is coloring it - otherwise it frustration and waste of time. JUST BUY LEGOS AND BUILD DON'T GO FOR CHEAP

Buen producto
Después de problemas con el envío (me tuvieron que reintegrar el dinero a la primera porque no llegó) a la segunda llegó perfecta (además de la caja original vino con otra caja reforzada), he empezado a montarla y está genial, obviamente si se quiere un acabado perfecto hay que comprar las pinturas opcionales y accesorios para corte y lijado, las piezas encajan perfectamente, esta es una maqueta para tomarsela con paciencia pero si te gusta el modelismo es una maravilla.La recomiendo 100%.Un acierto más de Revell.

Still a great kit after all these years
A brilliant model of an iconic piece of engineering. Building the model out of the box will not however give you a model of Apollo 11. It is based on the SA500f Facilities Test Unit that was built in 1965/1966 to test all of the ground systems and did not have anything inside it. It was just an empty shell. (Testament to this is the horizontal black band above the “USA” markings on the first stage that didn’t appear on flight vehicles). Having said that you’ve got to be a real rocket geek to know that, and will still build into something impressive to display. The person who who said that parts of the model are made of cardboard was very much mistaken. The main fuselage are made by rolling pre printed plastic sheet into tubes. No cardboard involved. Instructions are also given in the instructions to make the box it comes in into a rather handy carry case, which is great for transporting to shows. Fun fact- NASA actually used this model at the Marshall Test Centre in the late 1960s as a reference piece, even though it was inaccurate, with the original one being sold at Bonhams in 2006 for £21000!

Any NASA fan must have this in their collection. 50th anniversary is super exciting and just in time for the next moon missions. Get it now before the value skyrockets. Definitely a great size for remembering the greatest adventure mankind has ever taken.

Es una maqueta que deseaba encontrar en España con un precio algo más económico que comprarlo en fuentes extranjeras. Vale mucho la pena adquirirlo si eres aficionado a estos temas
