Pow Wow WOW !!!
i bought this on sale for my son who turned one. i watched it for a long time and sprung for it when the price dipped down to sixty four bucks. i am so glad i bought this! we have the remo kids bongos, floor tom, and konga drum, and the lollipop hand drum and tambourine. we like hearing our three kids bang around. i would highly recommend this. it is pretty loud, of course. but you can put a pillow under it if you are getting a headache (LOL) and that helps a lot. either way, the sound is great- booming, naturally. but it sounds high quality and resonates well, not cheapo or tinny. it's like a pow wow drum. my husband really likes it too. we love to drum around some, even though we aren't serious drummers, there is something quite therapeutic about pounding on a drum. it is huge, almost two feet across. which makes it great for sharing as two or three kids can easily sit around it. the mallets are nice and my baby loves banging on it with them, it is easy for him to grasp them and bounce them off the drum and it sounds great. and he thoroughly delights in it, which is all i ever wanted :) this drum is awesome. worth every penny and i am thrilled i got it on sale, i think it was a bargain. seems very high quality and durable. i think this will last beyond my children and i look forward to keeping it for young and old, many years to come.

Expensive, but fun and good quality
Very well made. Wish I would have purchased it when they were younger so that we would have had even more time with it. They could have just banged on it with their hands as babies. Mallets have endured a lot of rough play. We try to teach about vibrations and have loved putting tiny toys on it and watching them bounce off with the slow motion feature on a cell phone. It has also helped me to get them to count to 100 as they beat the drum. I really like the images, both inside and out, on the drum. The grips on the bottom of the drum are a great addition to prevent sliding on smooth surfaces. I would never have thought I'd spend this much on one item but it really is great quality and can be used in general play and not just as a drum. No regrets. I also like the large size (ours is 22 inches across) so that multiple people/kids can drum on it.

This Drum never fails to impress!
Purchased one years ago for a friends young child. Big hit. I wanted to get one for my 2 year old granddaughter but her father was concerned about the size so I bought the 10inch. Well, they do a family drum session every night and now definately want the larger 22 inch. So it’s all wrapped and ready for my granddaughters birthday party Sunday. The sound is beautiful as is the look of the drum. I absolutely love it. Well made and will be a huge memory for the kids. Go for it!

Beautiful tone.
I unboxed my drum and played it today. I was astounded by the tone quality. This is definitely not a toy drum. The tone is deep, rich, full and beautiful. I will use it for ceremony and recording. Since i just got it I can't really comment on the durability, but it certainly looks well made and sturdy, and as I said, it sounds great!

Fun drum.
Got this for my kids for Xmas. Lots of fun. I ordered an extra mallet so all three of them could play it at the same time. Like the drum, the mallets are also well made. These come in different sizes, but get the big one. This isn't a cheap feeling drum. It's solid. My toddler even climbs on it. We play cards on it. It looks cool hanging on the wall. I love beating on the the thing. The sound is deep and rich. In fact, I play it more than my kids.

We bought this drum for our Danza (matachines), it’s a great size. The sticks are small, but the drum works great, is very durable and had a great sound for what we needed it for.

Wonderful, rich and warm bass tone.
This gathering drum has a fantastic sound! Lovely resonant bass sound. It can be played quietly or all the way up to a rather loud sound. I do not find it's loudest volume to be irritating; it is actually pleasant to hear even when played loudly. It has a nice variety of sounds depending upon where you strike the drum. The mallets pictured are all black, but mine came with mallets that had black heads, white handles, and a little red tip on the handle. Despite the color difference, they function well. Not sure why I was sent the different color. This will easily fit four people around it, and I bet I will be able to squeeze up to 8 children around it if needed. Can be played with hands instead of mallets and it still sounds great!

Great for Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers, etc.
I use this drum in music and movement classes I do with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. It can get a little loud when the older kids all bang on it at the same time, but used in moderation, it's great. The babies like to crawl all over it, drool on it, taste it, and everyone else pounds on it, and it still looks and sounds great. Minor wear and tear on the drum face from so much use and from being dragged in and out of my trunk over and over, but nothing too bad. It's low to the ground, so all of the kids can easily get to it and it's actually a great height for the babies to pull up on and stand. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a drum with a nice, full sound that kids can play. Would probably also work great for adults, I've just never tried that!

Soddisfatta! Il suono é bello, é fatto bene e si possono avvicinare fino a 7 bimbi piccoli. Lo utilizzo nelle mie lezioni di propedeutica musicale e piace sempre moltissimo!

Tolle Trommel!
Schöne Trommel, für den Kindergarten ideal. Wir haben schon eine solche Trommel und haben uns für die Krippenkinder eine Zweite angeschafft. Es macht den Kindern unheimlich Spaß daraus zu trommeln. Eine tolle Trommel!
