Perfect, challenging, and rewarding!
The Ravensburger puzzle is a very high-quality puzzle. The colors run true to the pony on the box, the pieces are cut with razor sharp blades (no tearout or hangers-on), the puzzle is thick enough to lock and hold tight, and the finished picture is tight enough and beautiful enough to make them worthy of gluing and framing. HOWEVER...the 1000 piece puzzle is not for the amateur. Many of the pieces are cut with challenge in mind and will just about fit perfectly in more than one location. If you are easily defeated, you will not love the puzzle. If you love figuring out what you might have done wrong, this puzzle is perfect for you. This is the only puzzle maker I have ever done that NEVER is missing pieces! We put them together in a pristine environment which doesn't allow for lost pieces. I have put together numerous puzzles with EXTRA pieces, which is why I know the maker doesn't exercise quality control. Having toured the Ravensburger factory, I see how it is impossible for them to have missing pieces. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Well made, challenging, fun
This is a quality puzzle with sturdy pieces that lock together nicely. We generally avoid photo-scene puzzles because they can be too easy, but this one was just difficult enough. As seniors, we appreciated the fairly matte finish, which reduces glare and makes it easier to see the patterns. I hate it when puzzles have pieces that ALMOST fit together and you have to hold it up to the light and squint to confirm it's correct...this had a few of those, but not too many. Price was great too.

Ravensburger - Best Puzzles
Their puzzle pieces are well made, and no second guessing if the piece fits or not. Love they have REAL Nature Photos for puzzles. Not drawn or painted pictures.

Difficulty: 9/10 Fun: 5/10 Quality: 9/10 A good puzzle but I suppose I personally like more color, which obviously wouldn’t be expected with this one. The rocks were hard and I had to stare at the box a lot

Piece Missing and Received new Puzzle
Beautiful puzzle, well made, unfortunately a piece is missing. Received as a Christmas gift. I will send the issue to the address on the box with the barcode and see what the response is. I followed the instructions on the box for sending in problems/complaints, included a photo of the puzzle with piece missing along with my amazon receipt since I could no longer return to amazon. I was past the due date for returns. 1/25/2012--Received new puzzle in the mail today. Could not be more pleased. The puzzle is a masterpiece and I will certainly buy more. Very well made, precision cut, beautiful picture!

Good Quality Puzzle
A very good puzzle. Pieces are good quality and they fit well together. There were NO missing pieces either. A hint to newer puzzlers - Don't assume there are pieces missing before finishing the puzzle. Examine the border closely and you may find pieces in the wrong places. I have rarely bought a new puzzle with missing pieces over a span of 60 years! Also, if you are looking for a puzzle similar in quality as the old Milton Bradley "Big Ben" 1000 piece puzzles, the Ravensburger puzzles are very, very similar.

high quality, challenging puzzle
Definitely a challenge, but high quality puzzle. The pieces fit together real nicely and are made of high quality. The picture is beautiful, just be aware of the challenge involved. There are many pieces that look the same and it's hard to put some of the puzzle together, but what do you expect from 1000 pieces? All pieces were present and I had no complaints. Great way to spend some free time.
