The toughest Ravensburger escape room puzzle yet--don't buy this one first!
I've done all the Ravensburger escape room puzzles and I just love them. I even paid extra to get the hard-to-find Dragon one from a retailer in Germany, but now it looks like many of the others are also becoming less available and expensive. I was excited to see this new one come out so I ordered it right away. Warning: as you can see from the cover, this is a difficulty of 5 out of 5! From reading some of the other reviews, it appears that the puzzles in this one are too hard for many people. But I love puzzles and escape room, and had the experience of doing all the others first, so I was able to manage it without any hints! Don't do this one as your first one--try the Observatory, Witches Kitchen, Submarine, or Unicorn ones first--they are 2 or 3 stars of difficulty. A few things to know: 1) It is hard to do the edges of these puzzles first without making mistakes because the pieces are used for the final puzzle, so are interchangeable. 2) The puzzle doesn't quite match the box cover, but its close. Pay attention to those differences. 3) If you get stuck with the puzzles, the Ravensburger website can give you a series of graduated hints to help you for each sub-puzzle. 4) When you solve the puzzles you get a 2 or 3 digit number leading to the edge pieces, these edge pieces fit together in such a way as to make an object that usually fits on top of the puzzle in some way to allow you to "escape". 5) The sealed envelope in the box shows this image, but doesn't help solving the puzzles, so go to the website for hints instead. The puzzles in this one were particularly devious and I couldn't solve any of them at first (I can usually solve 3 or 4 out of the 6 right away). But I persisted, had some help from the family, and figured them out. Wow. That was satisfying. Finding the correct order of the digits is particularly tricky for these puzzles! The final image looked wrong to us until we read the story again. (I didn't know he invented Cubism!) Looking forward to more escape room puzzles!

Not logical
We've done at least 5 of these puzzles and this one was the hardest one yet. We had to use the hints and even with the hints some of the puzzles were illogical in how they were supposed to be solved.

(MINOR SPOILERS) Beautiful Image! Terribly Cryptic Riddles.
My review contains MINOR SPOILERS primarily to explain how this system works in case you have never worked one of these puzzles. ** When you solve the puzzle, the final image will be a bit different from the image shown on the box. These differences are your clues for the riddles to be solved. When you correctly solve a riddle, it will give you a 3-digit number. You’re looking for six numbers total. When you complete the border, you will notice that many of the pieces contain said 3-digit numbers. When you’ve solved all six riddles, you will pull those six pieces with the matching numbers out of the border and assemble them into a final mini puzzle. This mini puzzle is the answer to the “escape”. To give you some insight, this is my third Escape puzzle, and while I highly enjoy this series, I don’t work them for the riddles. I specifically enjoy that the picture is slightly different from the box, and for me, that’s enough. This particular image is highly detailed and beautiful to look at! Of the three that I’ve done, it worked by far the easiest! If you are familiar with this series, you also know that the edge pieces are very difficult to work because they will all fit into each other as they have to in order to solve the final mini puzzle. Well I’m happy to say that this border can be worked in its entirety by image alone! So that was a happy bonus! Then there were the riddles themselves. Admittedly, I’m terrible at these! And this one was no joke! I can’t reasonably see anyone solving all six of these without some major hints. I PARTIALLY solved only two! So if you like the riddle aspect, I wish you great luck with this one! Now, while the puzzle itself is absolutely a 5 star experience, I downgraded my rating to only 4 stars partially because of how cryptic the riddles are in this one, but more importantly because the cut on my puzzle was ever so slightly off. For most puzzles this really wouldn’t have mattered, but it affected the ability to assemble the final six pieces that make up the escape solution, as the image didn’t line up properly. I don’t take the riddle part of these puzzles too seriously, but in the off chance that I had sat and truly tried to work this one out, I never would have been able to get the final pieces assembled due to the cut. If others were cut like mine, this could be a great source of frustration for someone who does want to complete the riddles. The cut did NOT affect working the actual puzzle. (I’ve attached a picture to show what I mean by the “shift”. You’ll see the numbers are crowded more to the edges of the pieces, but they should be more centered to get the proper alignment.) In the event that you are like me and just want to enjoy the beautiful puzzle aspect, I do recommend getting this one! I really did love putting this image together!

Beautiful puzzle with challenging "escape"
This is a great looking puzzle that's fun to complete. When solving the clues, it helps to have a second person to discuss the possible connections and logic. I took a photo of the box image and looked for differences in the finished puzzle to help discover clues. Patience helps and you can get hints if stuck.

Great puzzle
My husband and I have done several of the Ravensburger 759 Escape Puzzles. This has been our favorite so far! The puzzle itself was fun to put together, and finding and solving the puzzles hidden in the finished image was even more fun. We found the puzzles to be challenging but definitely solvable.

Quiz inside a puzzle
Always like a twist and this was it. Only thing was there was no clues for the answer. There could have been direction for finding the clue, before opening the evelope.
