It's a great brand of puzzle. My family has reused Ravensburger puzzles for decades, making them over and over again. They do cost a little more, but they are reliable, with unique pieces so you don't accidentally pair two together that aren't meant to fit. That simply won't happen, and it happens with cheap puzzles all the time. This puzzle is easy, but it's still a normal, legit puzzle. The main reason it's easy is simply that each color is grouped together in the final product, with most colors represented along the edge. Once you get all the edge pieces assembled, you can grab a random piece and it it's blue, green, orange, yellow, etc, you can tell where it's generally going to go, basically instantly. And of course the pieces are larger, making them easier to handle and creating a puzzle with fewer pieces. As for appearance, I do think this is a pleasing, fun looking puzzle, with a bright palette of colors and friendly faces. It just looks fun. This is a great puzzle for teaching how-to complete a jigsaw puzzle, much as I just described. It's fun, pretty, and my six-year-old completed it with very minimal actual help (but some instructions on how to find all the edge pieces). I'd suggest this puzzle for a large family event, if puzzles are part of your tradition, and putting this one at the kid table. Once they've completed the puzzle, the adults will be close to done with the edge of the more challenging puzzle, and the kids will understand how to contribute from there. I found no missing pieces, and over the years I've been able to get the company to replace missing pieces when that happens over the years. It's a high quality puzzle, and you do wind up paying a bit for that. I think that's fine.
