Great fun and great value;- for both children and adults!
Ok, I admit it, I fancied this radio controlled car just for myself;- and I don't believe I'm the only adult who does! I have no prior experience of using a radio controlled car of this type, which is possibly why I was so bowled over by it's performance;- I really hadn't anticipated that this model car would be so responsively fast and so much fun! When unpacking all the various bits and pieces that come with the car I began to think that this "package" overall represents good value for money, and once I started "driving and drifting" the car well that just reinforced my thinking;- yes, this car surely offers a lot of fun for relatively little money! As a child I would definitely have been delighted with this remote controlled model car even though I would possibly have needed some assistance from a responsible adult to prepare it to use for the first time;- but hey, what do I know, I'm an adult now and I'm still delighted with this car;- it even has lights that work so it's even more fun to play with in the dark than during the daytime! On a more serious note I was impressed at the amount of abuse that the car soaked up as a consequence of my initial incompetence at controlling it as it careered around the wooden floor of my lounge at what seemed to me like "breakneck speed". Even when the car inevitably crashed into something solid it usually bounced right back allowing me to keep on playing;- and that is something I don't recall my childhood toys managing to do! So there you have it;- a radio controlled car offering hours of fun for relatively little cost to be enjoyed by any child and many adults too!

Extra special remote model car
This is a good size and very nicely detailed model car with 4 wheel drive which genuinely does see it "drift" around long fast bends. A very sophisticated toy which I would be reluctant to share with a child under say 10 years old as they probably would not appreciate its capabilities and might be more likely to abuse and break it - a bit patronising but just my opinion. The inclusion of 2 sets of different type tyres sets this car apart and gives and edge over other models. The second battery is really useful too so as to always have a spare on charge and available. Altogether a cut above your average remote racing car. Thoroughly recommended.

Buenas características, y una carencia importante sin control proporcional de los mandos
Se trata de un coche RC pero que como punto claro de partida se trata de sólo un juguete, con buenas características por un lado y carente de otras más importantes por otro; pero como juguete orientado a una edad infantil que es, tiene un precio económico, por lo que tampoco sería serio pedir más. Para eso existen otras soluciones en el mercado, y por supuesto, mucho más caras. La pinta según sale de la caja ya todo montado, sólo hay que cargar la batería (trae dos, buen detalle) a través del conector USB que trae, conectarla, y en marcha, es muy buena. El cargador como tal habrá de usarse el de un móvil con salida USB A. Construcción por supuesto todo plástico (el precio manda). El acceso a batería y puesta en marcha es todo exterior; aunque se puede retirar fácilmente la carrocería quitando los clips que la sujetan y acceder al interior. Ésto en principio favorece los cambios de carrocería encontrando otra compatible. Un buen detalle es que en el compartimento de la batería nos encajan las dos, lo que permite transportarlas juntas y cuando una se agota ya tenemos la otra cargada al lado. La carrocería se puede quitar retirando los cuatro clips que la sostienen (trae de repuesto), y en el acceso interior poca cosa, ya que va todo cerrado y nada es accesible. El mando, imita bastante bien a los mandos de mayor empaque y precio, pero nada más. Plástico sencillo. Hay que añadirle las pilas (éstas no incluidas), y ya podemos empezar a derrapar. Y aquí la mayor limitación, los controles son de “todo o nada” sin mediar partes medias; es decir, no son proporcionales. Una buena característica es ser 4WD, tracción a las cuatro ruedas, y en marcha tiene “rugido” por el sonido que emite. Tal como se vende, el derrape es su destino. A tal efecto monta ruedas resbaladizas para que ese sea el efecto continuo del coche. Si queremos un comportamiento más controlable, se le pueden cambiar las ruedas por otro juego de goma que trae. Puesta en marcha, y sus luces delanteras se iluminan (otro buen detalle). La principal carencia es la dirección y control. Es un todo o nada. SI bien tal como funciona que es giro completo o nada, favorece el derrape, no es lo mejor cuando queremos realizar un circuito controlando el giro y velocidad, que es lo que encontramos en modelos mejores que este coche, y es su principal carencia. Potencia de motor tiene, de sobra, pero carece de control. Al no tener suspensión de ningún tipo, tal control es todavía peor, ya que cualquier alteración del terreno y el coche bota literalmente perdiendo aún más el control. Su mundo es una superficie totalmente lisa. Por su potencia y capacidad de derrape continuo, a no ser que se disponga de un interior grande en espacio y sin muchos obstáculos, tendremos que ir al exterior. En mi casa es imposible, sería una carrera de obstáculos absolutos… Resumiendo, conjunto completo y diversión asegurada. Económico, lo que nos induce al menos probarlo. Pero como todo, una vez probado vamos a querer más, y eso ya es introducirnos de lleno en el mundo R/C con miles de posibilidades. Principal carencia, que los controles no son proporcionales; son un todo o nada, lo que es una pena ya que haría un producto redondo por presencia y prestaciones a un precio muy accesible.

Really fun little car. A bit cheap, yes, but super fun.
This is a really fun little car. My first impression was that it was a bit cheap, but the more we've used it the more impressed I've been. The package comes with the car, an extra set of tires, some traffic cones, the controller, two battery packs and a USB charging cable. You have to provide AA batteries for the controller, but the car uses the included battery packs, which are USB chargeable. As with most batteries that are shipped, the battery packs come partly charged - enough to use it for maybe 15-20 minutes. Then you need to fully charge the battery packs. Since fully charging the pack several days ago, it's been used quite a bit and still hasn't needed a recharge. The USB charging cable was not easy to plug in. It wouldn't slide into several of my USB chargers, but I was able to find one that it plugged in to. The controller uses a trigger to move forward or reverse. There is no nuance, it's either full-bore forward or full-bore backward. You can shift the And there is a tire-like control for steering You're probably not going to deftly maneuver an obstacle course with this (unless you're really good), but you can get it down the hall and into the den without too much problem. The tires are pretty basic. There are slick racing tires and treaded road tires. There isn't all that much difference, and they're fairly cheap. But it's a nice touch to be able to switch them out. I've found that regardless of which tires we've used, it runs very well on carpet and not so great on hardwood. We haven't used it outside yet. It also comes with a screwdriver to use when opening the battery compartments, but that screwdriver lasted one use before it was bent and ruined. We tossed it and used our own. Is it worth $50? I guess that depends on your expectations. If you want something that's going to be fun despite its flaws, rechargeable and will withstand being rammed into every wall in your house, then sure. You could probably find something for less, but overall I've found this to be a pretty fun find. Just provide your own screwdriver, and know you may have to try a few USB chargers before you find one that the poorly made USB cable fits into.
