Plastic puzzle pieces... they grow on you. Excellent, superb puzzle!
I love this puzzle more and more the more I worked on it. I'm gonna get the part about the plastic out of the way, then go on to say why this puzzle is stupidly good and definitely worth $40 (I got it for $33, but I'd pay $40, read on). First: Plastic puzzle pieces. Especially if you have kids, these are great. No more spills causing pieces to swell, no more separating the print from the cardboard backing. And the fit... takes some getting used to. There is a much tighter, even audible "click." In comparison to cardboard, it feels like you're forcing a bad fit. But it actually turns out bad fits are even *harder* to force with plastic, and the normal fits just click harder and, again, with some getting used to, more satisfyingly (IMO) than cardboard. And once your done, picking up the whole puzzle as one piece isn't even risky. Might as well have glued the thing - you can flap it all around and it doesn't come apart. Second: Difficulty. This puzzle has a difficulty setting! It's been about 8 months since I assembled it, but I recall there were 7-8 plastic bags that all had pieces from the same area. So you can complete the puzzle in sections (easiest), you can open a few of the bags at a time and work on them (easy-medium-hard), or you can open them all, dump them out, and mix them up (hardest). Natch I did the hardest, but this puzzle is pretty tough, so proceed with caution. Third: Picture. The picture quality is good, and it's kind of like a "Where's Waldo?" without Waldo. Or with all Waldos maybe, since it's a puzzle and you're trying to find where each piece goes... anyway what I mean is there is a bunch of "normal" Elf Shop stuff going on (wrapping presents, decorating, etc.), but there are little comical Easter Eggs (despite being a Christmas puzzle) of mishaps and shenanigans that I won't spoil. But it will keep you entertained. Final thoughts: If you like jigsaw puzzles, I think this is a must have. Also it's not JUST 2,000 pieces - the border doesn't count. So you get an extra like 100 or so pieces (I did the math when it was assembled; I don't recall the exact number). But when you see the border, don't think you're getting shortchanged. The meat of the puzzle - the picture - comes in at 2,000 pieces. Then there are extra pure-white pieces for the boarder to really complete it. I really have no cons to give. This is an awesome puzzle. Happy jigsawing!

Great Puzzle
We really enjoyed doing this puzzle. We went down the route of doing it as 8 mini-puzzles and found it moderately easy. The pieces really snap into place once you find the confidence to be firm with them. The huge variety of shapes ensures that you can be fairly sure before snapping them in. I was worried that the puzzle would be impossible to take apart, but it was OK. It took one person about 75 minutes to disassemble, which was acceptable. (We didn't want it to be a 'single use' plastic which would end up in landfill.) We look forward to doing it again, in a year or two, but as one 2000 piece puzzle.

Well organized!
This puzzle is well organized, the plastic pieces fit together surprisingly well and they seem much more durable than I expected. It’s broken down into more than 10 bags, which makes a 4000 piece puzzle much easier to do (staying true to its brand name!) It’s a fun, cute puzzle!
