Challenging and fun

Cool! Will buy more....
I was stuck in a hotel for over 3 weeks due to a fire in my building. Out of boredom I purchased some puzzles. This one looked very interesting so why not? Not only was it cool to not know what it was supposed to look like when finished, but it was very high quality and came in a nice small box instead of a giant one. I REALLY enjoyed it and have since purchased another one in the series. I admit I did not read the clues/story but I will next time. I wanted to see if I could do it on my own with no hints. I want to also add that I had purchased a different puzzle from a different company prior to this one and it was HORRIBLE. The pieces were very poor quality, thin and did not "lock" together making completed clusters impossible to move around. Puzzle quality matters people :) I recommend!

Fun puzzle
i really enjoy mystery puzzles. i didn't think i would like doing a puzzle without knowing what the picture would look like but that added to the fun. i am giving five stars even though a few of the pieces didn't lie that flat and one piece was missing. amazon did send me a replacement so it's all good.

Nice gift for someone
Pretty good - would make a nice gift. Puzzle was hard to complete, honestly too hard if you aren’t a puzzle fan. The picture doesn’t match the puzzle. But I really do love the mystery element. Some said the mystery was easy...well it was a welcome because the puzzle was so hard!

So Fun!
This was such a fun puzzle! It came with a scenario of a murder mystery and the completed puzzle helps you solve the crime. It was extremely challenging - no picture of the completed puzzle since it would give away the solution to the crime.

Loved it.
Great puzzle and very challenging but could be assembled in one evening. Very fun to solve. I loved it so much, I bout 2 more different ones. Addictive for sure. Great family game night or date night activity.

Worn Puzzle Pieces, Not New
This is my fifth murder mystery puzzle, and the first with poor quality jigsaw pieces as if the puzzle was used. Though, it was a fun puzzle and luckily all the pieces were there—the pieces did not “snap” together and several pieces were bent.

Cool idea, disappointing execution
First, the picture on the box is completely different from the picture you're putting together - and that's great! The cover art is uninspiring, and the actual puzzle art is really neat. However, the solving of the "mystery" is less reliant on discovering hidden secrets in the puzzle art, and more about reading the story setup carefully. The "twist" was disappointing as my wife and I were scouring the puzzle for little details, and in the end it relied on an often-used trope. The story gives you clues as to what you're putting together, but without an image to work from it really is a tough puzzle. It felt satisfying to solve, and the art works as a great piece to frame once complete. But I think the part where you "solve" the crime could have been a) executed better, or b) removed entirely, for a better experience.

Challenging but worthwhile
An excellent jigsaw to do during the latest lockdown. The added bonus is solving the murder mystery once the puzzle is completed.
