Fun but broke upon first use.
Gave it to our son as a birthday present. He opened the box and the volstar broke within a few twists. He was not turning too hard as he has others similar to this one and knows the shaping. This one broke and could not be fixed.

if Rubik's cubes are your thing then buy this!
This 12-sided Rubik's cube is insanely difficult, but that's exactly what makes it so amazing! It’s a real brain-buster and definitely not for the faint of heart. The unique design adds a whole new layer of complexity, making it a fun and rewarding challenge for puzzle enthusiasts. The cube itself is well-built, with smooth movement between sides, and the vibrant colors make it visually appealing. Solving this thing takes patience, but it’s an incredibly satisfying experience once you start making progress. If you’re up for the challenge, this is a must-have! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious puzzle-solving adventure!

very challenging - but quite fun
this puzzle is fun to fidget with i can barely solve the standard cube with instructions, so this one is near impossible for me but that doesn't mean i don't try! good smooth motion, hard to put down there are apps that help in solving so you can get it back to perfection until the next time you grab it and mess it up again!

Good for kids that fidget
I ordered the Project Genius | Inverse: Novalinx Twist & Solve Puzzle - Difficulty Level: Medium, 12- Sided Handheld Puzzle, Fun Décor & Gift Idea, Project Genius, Ages 8+ for my 9-year-old, and he's really happy with it. This is actually quite difficult, as it's more extensive than the old school types that they originally came out with. I have never met a person who was able to solve the original one, and I am not sure how one would solve this one. lol. It is quite entertaining for the 9-year-old, and even if he feels he's nowhere near completing a puzzle, he likes to play around with it because of all the options including smaller pieces in size compared to the bigger ones. I will come back and update if the longevity isn't there, but so far this is a nice option for him and would be good for adults too, thank you.

Next level challenge
For those of you who can easily solve the original Rubik's cube, this is the next level challenge, adding more sides and ways to solve. For me, it's a pretty fidget toy that I don't want to mess with because I like the look of the completed puzzle and I know I would never be able to return it to its original form once I started messing around with it much. I have tried twirling it a bit to get a feel for the turning ability and it is very smooth without feeling loose. There are "helpful" guides out there that tell you how to solve these things but even that is not very helpful to me. My daughter has been able to follow along and figure the 3X3 cube and the triangle out but this one will still be a challenge. Oh, well, at least it looks nice sitting on the shelf. And it is fun to play with once you get over the not wanting to mess it up-thing.
