Paint a rainbow
yellow, orange, red, green, blue, purple, brown, black. Honestly I buy these because they last longer than the other classroom sets I've bought from different makers. I also appreciate having the refills I can just pop right in when my kindergarten students run out of paint. I think these are a good quality for the money.

Not kid friendly. Sticky.
As a teacher I despise these watercolors. I purchased with my own money and I wish I could get a refund. I've used a different brand in the past. I could just set those out and students used it with just a quick introduction. These paints are not kid friendly. I've got 34 kids, so I can't closely watch them to make sure they are using them correctly. They use a year's worth of color in 5 minutes, so they won't last long. I'm trying to teach them to wet first and just tickle the tip of their brush with color, but I still find them digging at the colors. They use way too much color leaving their paper this awful sticky mess that I have to wipe the access paint from. The ability to refill each color is not worth it. I also don't like how the color looks, when used correctly.

Prang watercolor paints-good quality for classroom
Bought this for my 3rd and 4th grade Art class. I've used Prang watercolor paints for awhile. I've also tried Crayola. Prang is much better quality. There is more paint and the pigment is stronger. If you are an elementary Art teacher, you can't go wrong with Prang watercolors. Students love painting with them and they are great for teaching beginners, as well as lessons on keeping paints "clean", how the wetness of the paint/brush will affect the color and application of the paint, and blending colors.

Colors are weird, especially yellow.
Super disappointing. Colors are not true, quality of brush not great. Better than the cheap ones, but not the quality they used to be.

Second grade type, Classroom set, DEEP replacable pockets of Bright colors
Stop looking, this is it. Years ago, I placed an order with my sec. and crayola showed up and disappeared in 2 art lessons!!! I couldn't believe it. So, I went looking in catalogs, art stores, and other classrooms. Save time and money you spend, setting up your classroom, so you can teach for years from a medium. I hereby give this The Wichmann Effect.

Avoid! Sticky, thick, gross to work with
These are horrible. They are so sticky! I thought at first it might of been because my preKers were using to much water and they just needed to dry out. Nope! I used them and they are just gross! When trying to paint it's like painting with thick syrup. And then!!! The artwork dries and it's sticky still! I made the mistake of stacking them into a pile as I removed them from the bulliten board, and they all stuck to one another!! Would not recommend these at all!

Expensive but worth it
Are these expensive? Yes... But, for the money, you are getting an item that works better and lasts longer. Cheap out on paint and you will know it. Nice set of extras too.

Great for the classroom
I love these. I wish they had white in them but the students achieve good coverage with them and I like that you can replace individual colours. They come with a quality student paint brush.
