My grandson loved it!!
Good for children but there is no piano sound except a dink dink. Would be much better if the sound was more like a true piano. It shouldn't be that difficult.

This Piano is absolutely adorable. I love the look of it and it seems very well made. It was simple to put together. I was only a tiny bit disappointed in the sound, but honestly, I wasn't expecting it to sound like a REAL piano. This was a gift for my 22 month old daughter. She has some interest in it, but still prefers to climb up beside her Poppa to play with him on the real piano. My 7 year old niece LOVES this. She spent a few days with us recently and learned one of the songs from the book. My boys (6 1/2 and 5 years old) both think that this is something nice to have and sometimes sit to create their own masterpieces. Updated: January 2020 The piano it's still here! Since buying it for our daughter we have added two more rowdy boys that pound the keys as if they are performing for a full house. They love to play on it. The stand snapped off boot long after we bought it, but it wasn't essential. I do have to tighten a few of the screws occasionally but it has held up well - to playing and to climbing. Still pleased.

Tuned to the wrong notes
I don't usually leave reviews, but figured I'd try and spare someone from wasting money like I did - for some reason, this piano is tuned incorrectly, so playing the D key sounds an A, etc. Only possible to fix by rearranging the keys and the quality afterwards suffered so much it's almost unusable. If you are using this to teach your kid perfect pitch, find a different one.

Love this toy!
My older brother grew up playing the piano so I bought this for his son, my nephew as a present. I was a little worried that it would drive everyone nuts if my 2-year-old nephew was pounding on the keys, however, the tone that the piano plays is quite soft and subtle. It's adorable watching him play with this toy and will hopefully inspire him to take after his Dad some day. Additionally, the look of it isn't like all the other plastic toys and is something my sister-in-law actually likes having as part of their living room.

Looks cool. 15 month old baby loves pounding on it. But the sounds that come out of this "piano" sound pretty awful. Still happy I bought it because it brings a smile to his face every time we go near it.

Very cute but…
The media could not be loaded. We chose this one because it seemed less fragile than the rest of the options. Besides the brand has good quality toys, but I feel very disappointed with the product, it feels very fragile, the keys have a sound quite different from the musical scale and the price was double that of other options that I think could have been equal in quality...

The Hape Happy Grand Piano is a good sturdy and attractive little piano but the tone of the piano in no way resembles that of a real piano. The sound of the piano is very disappointing.

Great little piano.
My son loves this piano. The sound is ok. But, the keys are close to standard size. He is learning to read music and has been practicing every day. This is the perfect first piano. I see a full sized piano in the future...when he is old enough to sit on an adult sized bench.

I would definitely recommend this grand piano! I bought this for my little one first birthday and although he does not know the keys as yet, it does not prevent him from banging onto them. It’s a beautiful piece. It is well crafted, durable, and for the price it exceeds expectation. Most of the reviews stated that it had a terrible sound, but I disagree. It’s a child piano and the sound is perfect for a child. The delivery was super fast. It comes with a booklet for you to play simple songs (twinkle little star, row your boat etc.). It was easy to sept up and it only took less than 10 mins. Even I sometimes get carried away playing it and I’m no pianist (haha). It’s a really great product!

Feels cheaper than it is but sound is good
Construction somewhat less sturdy than expected for the price, and the keys tend to “stick”. It does have a good sound though.

superbe piano
Ce piano est vraiment bien adapté pour les petits, que ce soit pour ma fille de 4 ans ou pour mon fils de 9 mois qui, dès qu'il est en trotteur se rue sur le piano pour taper sur les touches qui sont résistantes!! le son diffère du vrai piano, mais cela reste éducatif (petite règle ou chaque couleur correspond à une note ce qui est pratique pour ma fille qui ne sait pas encore lire!),amusant et il est vraiment bien fini!
