Vorab: es ist nicht meine erste Cross Füllfeder. Genau dieses Modell, aber in einer anderen Ausführung hatte ich schon als jahrelangen Begleiter. Nur nach langem und intensiven Gebrauch fing sie leicht zu lecken an und die Verschlußkappe hielt auch nicht mehr richtig. Für mich persönlich eine der besten Füllfedern. Sehr leicht, das Schreiben geht flüssig von der Hand, sieht edel und aus in der Chrom Variante. So macht schreiben Spaß. Ach ja, eins noch: nachdem die Cross Patronen recht teuer sind habe ich einen Kolbenkonverter mitbestellt. Diesen, oder die Patronen, sollte man auf jeden Fall mitbestellen, weil die Füllfeder selbst wird ganz ohne geliefert.

Edles Schreibgerät
Zügige Lieferung des edlen Cross Füllers. Ideal mit roter Tinte zum Korrigieren. Für das angenehme Schreibgefühl ein passender Preis. Mit Schraubenkonverter perfekt für mich.

CROSS is dead to me
And Amazon should be ashamed of themselves! For 127 Euro I received an obviously used pen with no outer packaging, dust inside, no ink, no converter (which this model should come with), and the nib writes so scratchy and horrible, that it's worse than my 6 Euro Preppy pen! Seriously? Companies have lost all respect for their buyers. I don't mind buying used, and I buy Warehous things a lot, but when I buy a so called luxury pen for over 100 Euro, I expect a certain quality. Two starts, because the design and the outside are really nice. But again, not worth 127 Euros. Chinese producers offer the same built quality for 30 bucks! Wake up CROSS!

Sieht sehr gut aus und das wars auch schon ! Das Kratzen der feinen Feder ist nahezu unerträglich ! Vielleicht ist das ja mit den Federn M und B anders aber von F rate ich dringend ab. Selbst günstige Lamy oder Pelikane können das besser......

Schreibt sehr schön, aber ...
das ist ja nicht alles. Ich schiele schon seit geraumer Zeit auf diesen Füllhalter in diesem Dekor. Ich besitze bereits einen Füllhalter aus der CROSS Century II Reihe, den ich 1997 gekauft habe. Die M-Feder ist mir für meine Schreibgewohnheiten inzwischen etwas breit geworden, daher sollte es dieses Mal eine F-Feder sein. Die Schreibeigenschaften sind an sich über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Die Feder schrieb kurz nach dem Einsetzen der Patrone an und verfügt über einen schönen, nicht zu knappen Tintenfluss. Das einzige Manko, was den Füllhalter für meine Zwecke auch unbrauchbar macht, ist die Tatsache, dass die Kappe nur mit immensem Kraftaufwand abnehmbar ist. Ich notiere viel mit Füllhaltern und bevorzuge es, wenn ich die Kappe eher mit einem Finger abschnippen kann. Das klappt bei manchen Füllhaltern besser bei anderen nicht so gut. Dass ich aber zwei Hände dazu brauche und noch dicke Backen machen muss, wie bei diesem Modell, ist mir bisher auch noch nicht untergekommen und in der Preisklasse (UVP 110 Euro) auch nicht mehr akzeptabel. Fazit: Für mich unbrauchbar, das Teil geht zurück.

So much better than a cheap fountain pen...
Wow! I've used cheap fountain pens since I was in the late 1970s and suffered with their leaks, propensity to not start writing unless the nib is wetted, and ability to mysteriously get ink on the lower body where it transferred to my fingers. This Cross is my first higher priced fountain pen, and what a difference. It writes smoothly like a roller ball. The ink flows evenly without wetting the nib, even after leaving it uncapped for a while or leaving it unused for days. No leaks. No ink getting where it shouldn't. Nice choice in weight -heavy with the cap on the back of the pen and light with it left off. Nice balance in either configuration. Well made and there is no going back to cheap fountain pens. Well worth the money and I'd buy another if I lost this one.

Classic design that writes well
Classic pen design that writes very smoothly. Fluted metal body and plastic section gives it a classy look, posts well and the slim girth handles comfortably in most small to average sized hands. Cap snaps with a reassuring smooth action. Cap finial could have been finished smoother but that's a minor negative.
