Easy for arthritic hands to hold and control.
These pens make writing easier for anyone with poor grip due to arthritis like me. Penagain are easy to use and they are the only ones that I can use comfortably. I highly recommend trying Penagain if you have issues with your hands and grip or you know anyone that does.

Great pen for those with nerve damage in their hands
I can’t hold a pen due to nerve damage in my back. Got basically a claw hand- can’t open it but am able to close it. These pens are a gift. I can now print decently. They don’t require hand strength to hold them.

Glad I found these again!
I had one of these pens a few years ago that I found on clearance at a retail store. I loved it then, but I left it laying at work one night when I left and it got stolen. Anyway, I am glad I was able to find it again. I assume this was the same brand that I had way back then. (8 or 9 years ago now I guess...) As far as the make and quality of it, it feels good and well put together. But it seems after all these years there are still some flaws. (For example, on my first one years ago, the seam of where the inside of the middle finger rested was rough and uneven. I ended up having to file it down to even it out. After that it was perfect though.) One this one, the seams are fine. But I do notice that it has an issue with the tip. For the tip to be retracted and snapped back to be able to write, it has to be really pushed down hard to where the base of the pen is for it to catch and stay back. This also makes the button really tight to push when I want to close it. It gives a feeling of eventually the tip will not stay retracted back, since it is 'barely' catching it now when it is new. It does have a pocket clip attached. But you may find its functionality somewhat limited if you intend on keeping it in a buttoned uniform breast pocket. Since it is small, I just asoon slide it in a regular pocket. Keep in mind that these issues are not enough to keep me from buying another one. But if you are one that is really picky about craftsmanship, you will probably minus a star for it... About the writing... This was the pen that I remembered loving when I had one before! It holds very natural for me, meaning it don't feel like I have to totally change how I know to hold a pen. That being said, for some, there could a bit of a learning curve in not only how you hold the tip, but also the curved part resting between your index and middle fingers. I let a co-worker try it and that was something he couldn't get passed. I don't think it is necessary to get too specific here, because almost everyone holds their pens in a slightly different way. But for me, I have more control because of the index finger being constantly on top and not having to balance to keep it from rolling off. This extra control allows me to write a little neater. And I need all the help I can get in that area! With this pen, I can write with a 1.0mm tip, which for me means I write larger, AND now people can actually read what I write with a 1.0 tip. I like the ergonomic shape for the index finger, and also the girthier size triangle shape of the grip for the thumb and middle finger. It is a hearty, controllable grip, just like I like. If I did have a complaint, it would be that as far as I know, these only come in 1.0mm size. I am far more partial to writing with my .37mm now. I would love to see these pens in at least a .5mm for those of us who prefer thinner lines. Bottom line- Get one to try. Keep an open mind. You may find that while it is different and you like it... It may or may not replace your favorite pen. (For me, it probably would if they made refills in .5 or smaller..) It could take some getting used to. It may not be the best choice to write full pages at a time, though I certainly could. Hope this helps! :)
