Pete the Cat: Gone But Never Forgotten
Birthday Pete the Cat was an instant celebrity in my kindergarten classroom. He showed up for our birthday celebrations, posed for pictures, wore his little party hat with pride, and brought pure serotonin to every five-year-old who met him. He’d wait patiently on a kiddo’s desk on the day of their birthday, spend the day in their arms, learning and playing and making their special day a little more magical. Bonus points because there’s so much matching Pete the Cat birthday merch — slap bracelets, certificates, stickers, the whole joyful shebang. Unfortunately… after a month of fame, Pete mysteriously vanished. Rumor has it he “ran away” to a student’s home. I’m choosing to believe he’s out there living his best life, spreading good vibes and birthday cheer wherever he goes. Plush quality: 5/5 — soft, sturdy, adorable. My ability to protect him from kindergarten kidnappers: 0/5 Would I buy again? Absolutely. But next time Pete’s getting a security escort.
