This hook is definitely heavy duty, thick and solid. However, the one I received is not shaped the same way as the one pictured. The ends on the picture are rounded into a curved "S" shape. Since I purchased the hook to raise a ceiling chandelier, the shape is very important to me because it needs to match the decor. Even though the hook I received will work, it will not look good. When I requested a refund and return shipping due to the item not being as pictured, the company refused. I'm just going to throw it in the trash now.

NOT a 3/8" hook as advertised
Advertised as a 3/8" diameter hook. Not even close as seen in side-by-side picture with an actual 3/8" S hook. It is at best a 5/16" hook. If your application does not require a stronger hook, then you may be okay to accept, but in my application, I specifically needed a thicker and stronger hook so part is useless. Seller is misrepresenting their product.
