So far I'm happy with it compared to cork roadbed.
I have been building layouts for years and typically use cork roadbed. Starting a new layout I thought I would give this a try. It was easy to install using Aileen's Tacky Glue. It goes down the same as cork roadbed material. It isn't as thick as cork, which I like, and it seems to deaden the sound a little more. A number of reviews of this product mention that the ballast tends to not stay as well as with cork because this material is much softer and flexible. I haven't reached that point yet and will update this review If there is a problem with the ballast.
