I have a TM1000 in each of my electric planes ...
I have a TM1000 in each of my electric planes, providing pack voltage feedback (I also have altimeters in 3 of them and an ASI in another). Knowing the pack voltage is a far more reliable way of knowing when to terminate a flight without over-discharging the battery than using a timer.

Install, THEN change the Tx setting to lipo.
Works great in my DX-9. You have to tell the Tx that it is using lipo. The key there is to plug in this new battery, then change the Tx to the lipo setting. It won't take the change until you plug the lipo in.
