Super cute

I was a bit unsure about getting this, I honestly figured the pieces would be very thin and wouldn't look anywhere near as good as it does in the stock photos, and held off on buying it for quite a while just because the price at the time I bought mine was $17.99 and I really didn't want to spend that much money on this when I was unsure about the quality. I finally caved and bought it, I have been a huge Pokemon fan since my best friend at the time introduced me to Pokemon the year Red and Blue were released in the US, and was surprised at just how high quality the pieces are and how nice and vivid the colors are and how premium it looked. The instructions can be a bit confusing at times, they aren't bad directions but there are just so many pieces per level that it is easy to miss one or put a wrong sized one in which causes you to have to take it back apart to that level and fix your screw up. Nanoblocks really knocked the ball out of the park with these, they are so popular that Nintendo gave them permission to make more. They are releasing a Dragonite, Lapras, Caterpie, and maybe one or two more new sets in May. I have seen pictures for the Dragonite, Caterpie, and Lapras sets and they even better than the original sets IMO. I can't wait to put more together!!! The pictures I have included are a bit washed our color wise, they colors are brighter than they really are in person thanks to the Nexus 6's camera making everything appear off. The actual colors are a bit darker than in the picture and really match Gengar's in-game colors.

Tiny tiny blocks, definitely for the older kids/adults who love pokemon. These blocks are TINY. I mean you may need tweezers kinda tiny. But awesome too. Easy to assemble. Had all the parts. will definately be buying more of this brand!

Hard to build but really cool
Takes a long time to build, but it’s worth it if it reminds you of your childhood! I used to play every pokemon on DS, so this was worth it to me. Would buy more, but I dont really have the time

Smaller than you think, minimal instruction
I mean I love it, but also way more complicated than it needs to be. I have to take it apart over and over again. I’ve stopped and started on it. Something so simplistic, is one of the most challenging things to put together. The directions alone are terrible. I’ve read the reviews on this before purchasing, I’ve put together legos all the time. I’m really confused why this is so challenging. I’m writing this review and still not put together. I’ve stopped once again from taking it apart and almost giving up on it again. Is there a YouTube video out there on this because this is annoying!! Probably won’t be buying an another one after this. Unless it’s a different company with better instructions and clear instructions like legos instructions. Btw I have the nonblack pad and tweezers. Still no success. I give it a three star because I mean it’s Gengar come on.

Love the build
I love Gengar and this nanoblovk build is so perfect for it. It's a solid "square" foundation build that fits Gengar's overall shape. It's hard to describe, but when you have some pokemon that have more complicated designs, Gengar fits this well.
