Super cute toy!
I bought this for my son for Christmas and I have not given it to him yet, but I was so excited about it that I had to take it out and look at it myself before Christmas got here. This is the cutest toy ever! I love it. It is super colorful and cute and a good size. I like that it teaches them where the food goes and I am so excited to give it to him for Christmas. I love Melissa & Doug toys. I read a lot of the reviews before I bought it and a lot of people were saying it didn't stand up on its own, which it doesn't oh, but it is a plush toy with a hollow inside so I didn't expect it to. I think this is a great product

Melissa & Doug products are always top tier! This toy is no different, I love how brightly colored it is & each item has texture & sounds, super soft. Great for the little ones. There is even a tie on the top for crib or playpen use!

Cute but does not sit up like pic
Bought this for my almost 1yr old niece, she sits up really well and thought this would be great for her. She loves it but someone has to hold the mouth open so she can put the animals in it. Eventually she will be able to do it herself but that was a little disappointing especially bc the picture shows it sitting up on its own. Still a really cute and fun toy for young kiddos.

Parents Love This
Years ago, I got a toy almost exactly like this for some friends when their baby turned one. They told me later it was the best toy they had received. It's quiet, it's washable, and it captivates their toddler. They said they moved it from room to room with them, for example, tying it to a doorknob so their son could be engaged while they were busy fixing dinner or hanging out in the kitchen. I recall it was the 'toy of the year' by a parenting magazine that rates toys, and I can see why. I got this one recently for a neighbor's one-year-old. I'm not sure it's the original, but it sure is close, and they love it. They tell me it took a while for their son to 'get it,' but once he did, he played well, feeding the pelican and watching what happens. They say it's supporting the 'cause and effect' stage of his learning.

Good product, but short lived.
Great product for a toddler, but short lived. Very well constructed and eye pleasing to the child, but didn't seem to inspire play without a sibbling or parent at all times.

Quality materials, big hit with a 1 year old!
Bought this for a friend's 1-year old birthday party. The quality is very high - materials feel nice and durable. The little one loves the toy, especially the smaller ones that make a squeaking sound. The beak is a bit too difficult for a younger child to operate, but doesn't take away from the fun.
