Mini bust is great! Rope is terrible.
Mini bust is great! Rope is terrible. Threw it away. The rope flakes apart and doesn’t pose well. Mini bust is fine without it but the rope is cheap garbage.

Quality Lacking
The Good: The statue (minus Batman's rope) looks fantastic, has a sturdy base, and stands up correctly with the back stand. The Bad: The price point is too high for the quality (see comment below). The Ugly: The rope is made of cheap material that cracks and breaks when bent. According to the box photograph, Batman's rope should bend to handle multiple twists, loops, etc. Unfortunately, when you begin to shape the rope to your liking, the outer brown material/plastic breaks apart and literally falls off the rope, leaving the underlying wire exposed. The wire is not sturdy and doesn't hold it's shape well. McFarlane, please fix your quality, especially when selling products at $250+.

the posable rope paint will flake off immediately, but the sculpt is awesome
Love it except for the POS rope that flakes off paint every time you try to pose it. Overall I liked it too much to return it to Gamestop because of the rope. I also noticed my local collector store was selling it without the rope lol, they also found out and decided not to sell it with the flaking rope. If you don't mind repainting the flaking rope or getting a substitute rope the statue is awesome.

Issues with the Rope
So the figure, base and package was lovely. The box is HUGE, especially considering the overall size but it meant that the figure was undamaged on arrival. The biggest issue is, as stated in the other review, the rope. This is a weak twisted black wire with poor tension that for some reason was then PAINTED BEIGE likely to match Dan Mora's original picture art. This means that every time you untwist or manipulate this wire, which you will need to do to place in Batman's hand the paint just flakes right off and makes a huge blotchy paint chip mess as well as making the rope look terrible. I abandoned it. So I have the figure with no rope. This is my first time buying a McFarlane statue so this was very disappointing for the price. I have multiple other figures worth >200$ and for this price, it was extremely disappointed. It should have been a cast piece. There is NO WAY to get the above figure look with this item. This was a christmas gift from my dad - so I was really sad.
