Great Quality and Very Good Price!
Buying this item for my daughter's birthday favor. Wanted to see how the quality is before I get more so I started with one set. Received the product today and out of the box I love the material and how it looks. For 8 inch hand puppet this is very well made and my daughter loves it, the fabric material feels good to the touch and you can't beat the price (Right around $1.20 each) The only draw back I see is the fabric material isn't stretchable so it's harder for some people with big hands (See Picture). Overall it's a great product with a very good price. Just placed another two sets on order.

Cute and kid sized
The set I received had 12 different puppets and they are all very simple but cute and for the price very fair. I did notice the stitching wasn't super awesome quality but for what I paid these are great. I love that they are kid sized and I didn't realize they would fit on the hand like a glove with one finger in each hole but for little kids I think this is more intuitive than a regular puppet. I think these are great, I highly recommend.

Worth $15
A dozen puppets for $15. What more can I say? The quality is sufficient, my 5 year old enjoys them, the stitching will hold, and they fit her hands just fine. They are only a bit too small for my hands. I feel that they are worth the $15 I spent. If you want nicer puppets, spend more money. But you know kids-- sometimes they are more exited about the box than the gift, so it doesn't always make sense to go all out on an untested toy. This is a great entry into hand puppets.

Nice item, but a little deceptive in description
I didn't have very high expectations on quality for this product based on previous reviews. They are very cute and soft, and will be perfect for my toddler who loves playing with puppets during storytime. What you don't see on the product description page is that they're actually from Oriental Trading Company (that would explain the quality). Amazon shows the list price as $29.99. They're actually $21 if you buy them direct from OTC. I saw from a couple of other reviews that the Amazon price was previously $9.99. If the Amazon price is over $20, be sure to check OrientalTrading.com and look for item number 6/1322. You might be able to save a few bucks.

A few details about these great kids puppets.
The goal of this review is to answer a few of the questions and concerns that people have with these puppets. 1. I received all 12 puppets, in good condition, one of each animal listed 2. These puppets are "glove" type. They have 4 'legs' and there IS a small pocket inside the head for your middle finger. It is a small pocket, and only the top of you finger will go in to control the puppet's movement. 3. They are smallish for an adult hand. My average sized hand will fit, but I'm tugging it down frequently. Would not be a problem for kids. 4. Yes, the 4 legs can look a bit silly, but there are 2 ways of solving this problem: A) If the children using them are young, they won't care. B) If you are using the puppet as a teaching tool or demonstration, you can chose which legs to use. Just like a glove, you can poke the 'extra' legs to the inside of the body, and viola! You've only got 2 legs. To use the top legs, tuck the bottom legs inside and form your hand like a 3. Your thumb and palm can hang on to the extra legs inside and actually help to keep the glove on. To use the bottom legs, tuck the top legs in and form your hand into a sign-language "I love you" with your thumb, pinky and pointer finger out. I find it easier to extend my pointer and middle fingers together to control the head. Then you get a long-necked puppet - I use this configuration for the giraffe and elephant. 5. The fabric is cheap, thin velour. One of mine has a poorly-sewn seam and the fabric comes apart there. 6. For the cost ($1.25/each as of 9/1/14) I find this a valuable resource, even if they are not perfect, and require special use. I h ope this review can answer some questions! I'll try to upload photos, too.

Still a good value, but disappointing
Compared to the cost of many puppets, this is a good value, despite their lower quality. I was really disappointed that the description didn't state that these were Oriental Trading Co. products however. They carry the tags clearly, and had I known that was where they were from, I would have had a much better idea of what quality to expect. Their price was fair and while they are definitely inexpensive items, they're cute. I was very frustrated that despite the description given, my puppets included several animal duplicates, not all 12 were different. It wasn't worth the expense and hassle of exchanging them for me because I have more than 1 child playing with them, but I would have strongly preferred that I had received the promised variety. It seems like false advertising to state that it was an assortment when they included multiples of the same puppet instead. Hopefully they don't do this to everyone.

A great gift that stays interesting
This is one of my favorite gifts to give kids. They are very durable, with no pieces that seem likely to come off. They are a good size, but aren't bulky, so they don't take up lots of space. (Important for families with small homes!) The puppets are safe and entertaining for toddlers, but should stay interesting for several years. My two year old has had these for about a year, and still plays with them all the time. We keep them in a low drawer with small stuffed animals and she takes them out nearly ever day. These would also make great favors for a birthday party.
