Pretend play
My 4yo is loving his new tool set. He loves the nail into wood but this makes me feel better that it’s plastic and foam. He played with for a long time.

Nice set
This is a great little toy set for a toddler, especially if they like the idea of doing DIY and building. The tools all look very realistic but they are just made from plastic. Even the piece of wood looks really real, but it’s actually just foam. As well as this being great for pretend to play, I think it’s a great way of learning as well. My little boy really enjoyed playing with this and thought it was great fun hammering the little plastic nails into the foam wood.

Great for roleplay!
Really nice little plastic tool set which is great for roleplay. The set by Little Tykes includes a plastic hammer, some toy screws and a clamp - the packaging can be used as fake wood for roleplay and this type of toy is great for developing coordination and motor skills. Easy to use and offering lots of play possibilities, this was a great addition to our tool set in my Nursery playroom and has been really popular. Good value at £14.99.

little tikes Creative Construction Hammer & Nail Set
My son loves this Little Tikes hammer and nail set! It comes with a little hammer, clamp, foam wood, and even a tiny box of nails that look so real but safe. He loves hammering away and it's great for keeping him busy while also practicing coordination. The set is really sturdy and feels like it’ll last, but the foam boards do get worn down pretty fast, so I’ll probably need to order some more at some point. Also, the nails can be a little tricky to hammer in straight, so sometimes I have to help. Overall though, it’s cute, fun, and educational. Definitely recommend if your kid wants to build like dad without the danger of real tools.

Really fun woodworker set
This is a really fun wood worker set. You get some foam pieces of wood that you can drive the nails into and you can re-use them a good amount. The little G-clamp works well but just being able to hammer nails into the wood or cardboard boxes to build stuff has been a huge hit.
