Great train set
I like my pre-war and post war Lionel trains but my 18 month old isn’t able to play with them yet. I know this set is for much older kids but he loved watching it run. Gave him the remote and after a day of using it he has all the functions down. It’s really nice having a wireless remote for him. Note it has been dropped on tile floors several times without any damage or malfunction. The whole set has nice details, it sounds good, functions smoothly and at max speed with the power supply provided it’ll easily stay on the tracks. This set is perfect for getting my son started and some of the functions are really nice. We are both figuring out some of the cool things it’ll do. We already have the train under the tree but have some more cars to add come Christmas morning. Having hours of fun with it every day with no issues. Highly recommend buying smoke fluid. It doesn’t come with it but it a lot more fun with the sounds and smoke effects on.

Wonderful train set.
I absolutely love this! First of all it’s Lionel. Secondly, it has smoke. It has a wonderful remote. with a bell conductor talking with I believe four different phrases and a bell.

Quality!
The media could not be loaded. This is not a toy. The locomotive is solid, well made, and quite detailed. I almost went with HO or N scale, but they are far too delicate for my grandson. I’m expecting this to hold up well. It took all of 10 minutes to assemble before I was up and running. The sounds and smoke are fantastic but you do need more drops than what the instructions indicate, otherwise it dissipates after a couple of minutes before vanishing completely. You have to turn off the smoke as it can cause issues if there’s no juice left. I’m going to let it run at various speeds, starting slow, to help break it in then do the same for reverse. I already ordered extra track and plan on making a permanent layout. I retired last month and now have some time on my hands to have fun and enjoy life with my grandkids. This is such a beautiful, quality starter set, I couldn’t be happier. It’s a little on the pricy side but well worth it. You get what you pay for.

Great train ... works right out of the box!
The media could not be loaded. Love this train! Looks great and works perfectly right out of the box. A few notes: 1) The "FasTrack" is nice for use on carpet because of the built in roadbed (good for going around a Christmas tree!). The downside is that these are not easy to snap together; the plastic clips are tight. Okay enough for adult hands, but takes some effort. 2) The sounds effects are really nice. The horn and bell are very authentic. 3) The smoke effect is not great. It works, but there's so little smoke that you're not likely to notice it. 4) The remote control is simple to use and makes driving the train a breeze for all ages. 5) The Bluetooth remote control via cellphone or tablet is a nice bonus because it offers additional controls, including fine tuning the sound effects volume and pitch and the ability to control multiple trains from one device. 6) The locomotive has plenty of power to pull several additional cars. 7) Lionel has a great assortment of cars to add to your train, including holiday themes, Disney, Budweiser, etc. Be careful about ordering the right size. There are multiple "O Gauge" styles, you'll want to order "Traditional O-Gauge" , NOT "O Gauge LionScale" nor "O Scale" cars. The attached video demos the sound effects and includes a few add-ons (extra car, Christmas gift packages on board and a few extra track sections). Great train ... highly recommended and expected to be a long-term family tradition.

A Christmas Hit for Train Lovers
I bought this model for my son for Christmas, and he absolutely loved it! The quality is superb with great attention to detail—the engine even makes smoke and sounds, which adds an exciting, realistic touch. The remote control works perfectly, allowing you to control the train from far away. Overall, it's a fantastic gift for any train enthusiast.

This train set was a real hit with my 12 year old grandson
This really is a great train set! It is well made and has some great features like smoke and realistic sounds. There is voice activation ,bluetooth,smart device compatability. Read the specs to get an idea of all the features. My grandson was thrilled to say the least, and I was very impressed by the quality and performance. This train set is a wonderful purchase and gift for anyone.

Perfect Christmas Tree Train
This train had just enough track to fit perfectly under our Christmas tree! Super fun features including cool sounds and smoke that comes out of the engine’s smoke stack! Can be operated via the remote or an app. This train will be a highlight of our Christmas decorations for many years.
