This is the best way to attach power to or from the Lionel track. Works as advertised. Unfortunately it is quite expensive.

Allow for connector length
Got this to use with the Lionel Lighted Covered Bridge. This track would go in the bridge, with the connector of the bridge plugged into the track. Unfortunately, this now makes the track too wide for in the bridge. So needed to go to Plan B. Cut off the bridge connection side, and just hard wire it into the layout. Someone at Lionel must not have tried this out first.

Totally Useless
You can't hook this to the transformer without buying special connecting with that cost more than the track part.

The power track
Plugged the new LED train light into the power track after I put the power track in place for the light and it works great.
