I absolutely love Learning Resources! Their toys are exceptionally well-made with sturdy, durable materials. What sets them apart is how their realistic pieces feel - they're soft yet solid, maintaining their shape when squeezed unlike most other play toys that cave in. The quality is outstanding. My granddaughter loves her new toys!

Learning Resources New Sprouts is the Best
***Update: This set still looks nearly brand new nearly 6 years later! Still love this brand and my kids still play with it often. Can't recommend this line enough! I researched a ton of play food brands before I decided on Learning Resources New Sprouts. It seems like wooden play food is en vogue currently, but I was looking for something more like my Fisher Price food sets from the '80s. The New Sprouts line is fantastic. As many other reviewers have noted, the type of plastic they use is wonderful. It's soft and flexible but durable and withstands a lot of overly enthusiastic pretend chewing :). The details on the food are adorable and the scale of the foods and kitchenware are perfect for little ones. I also like that the colors are bright without being too obnoxious and are gender-neutral. This set in particular is great. The little wok is so cute and the tongs are great for teaching dexterity. We have four of these sets now and I have no regrets.

Encourage healthy eating AND fine motor skills! Quality exceeded my expectations.
I bought this set for my 2-year-old son to go along with his new play kitchen and I was way more impressed with the product in person than I thought I would be! The ONLY complaint I have is with the color of the wok. The vegetables, spoon and tongs are so realistic and perfectly colored that the purple wok just takes away from the realism of the set. (Not to mention, it also doesn't match with his kitchen.) But that aside, the tongs are perfect for helping him work on fine motor skills (pre-writing skills) and the vegetables are appropriately size to make this challenging. For example, the broccoli is lumpy and easy to pick up no matter how it is lying in the wok, but the flat carrot pieces are a little harder, forcing him to move his wrist in the right direction to get it between the "grabber" of the tongs. This is his favorite part with the set- he has even taken the tongs to bed with him and points out real ones at restaurants, in the grocery store hot food section and at home because of this set! All of the food pieces are durable, firm plastic but are also soft at the same time. The fortune cookie is an adorable addition to this set. The plastic take-out box is very sturdy, which came to my surprise, but my son has trouble getting it open by himself, and getting it close has been impossible for him! That is no big deal to us, as he asks for my help when he wants to put his veggies inside. Overall, what a great set to encourage fine motor skills and healthy eating habits. And it's just as much fun for me to play with as my son!

Super cute, just somewhat smaller than expected.
I bought my toddler a few sets of Learning Resources toy food for her birthday. This one is super cute, I opened it up to look at all the pieces before wrapping it up for her so I know its going to be a big hit. My only minor note/complaint is that compared to the breakfast/lunch/dinner sets, this seems small and like your getting a bit less product I guess. Obviously the vegetables are chopped up, so they are smaller than any of the whole ones, but I expected the pieces of broccoli to be similar to the ones in the dinner set and it is much, much smaller. These will interchange perfectly with her salads, and with the soup set I think once we buy that one though. Not a big deal, just hadn't realized when purchasing it (it makes $20 seem a little too much for the set)

Great quality product!
I absolutely love Learning Resources! They do a great job at making these products look realistic! I was worried at first about the actual sizes of all the pieces, bu they are good sizes for my little one and great for pretend play! We do cook with a wok sometimes and I wanted to give my little one the ability to have and play with her own wok! She enjoys copying mama and adds the vegetables and stirs them in one by one to imitate me. She is almost 2 and loves playing with this toy! She can't really maneuver the tongs yet, but she loves playing pretend with the rest of the set! I love all the little details and how sturdy each individual toy is! This will definitely withstand time and hard play! If you want something that will last and that your little one will and can play with as they grow, get this set or at least this brand!

I love the size of the pieces
The pieces are durable and more detailed than the thin hallow flimsy plastic food in other sets out there. The only other food I've seen that's more realistic is made by MTC and is hard to find bc it was produced in the 1980s. I love the size of the pieces. Not too big and not too small. The takeout box is thick, but I don't like how it arrived already with white creases in it, that only increased when I folded the flaps down to close the takeout box. Also, all of the food pieces will not fit in the box at once and allow the box to close. Even with the fortune cookie on the side, the box is still too full to close with all the other food pieces in it. Overall, it's a nice quality with just a couple minor design flaws. My 3 year old can't quite open and close the box himself, but I help him with that. It is a very cute set though and I would purchase it again.

Worth every penny
Bought my daughter this set after seeing how much fun she had at her cousins house playing with their waffle iron and ice cream set from same company, Learning Resource. The veggie peices are amazing, easy to recognize, lots of textures to explore, and the utensils are sturdy. I like that it is the perfect size, not too many peices to keep track of and easy cleanup.
