This little unicorn terrarium nightlight kit is great. A while back, I got a similar one for my grandson that created a dinosaur scene. He and I had so much fun putting it together that I decided to get this one for my niece. Without a doubt, I know she's going to love it. The whole set is packaged carefully and includes a sparkly castle, unicorn, three vivid colors of sand, etc. My grandson put his set together pretty quickly, but I have a feeling my niece and I will go more slowly with hers as she is a few years older and loves arts and crafts. I can't wait to show her the remote control and its many functions as well as all the various pieces she can use to create her scene. As before, the only problem I see with this set is that the lid of the nightlight does not adhere to the base. In my grandson's case, that meant that during the first night he had it in his room, he decided to do some rearranging, opened it up while sitting in his bed, and ended up with a bed full of sand. Lesson learned, though we did add a bead of glue around the rim before putting it back together and sliding the lid in place. My niece is old enough not to make the same mistake, but I still think it's a flaw in the design and wish it came with something – even a couple of stickers – that would hook the lid on tight and make a kid think twice before reopening. Otherwise, this is an absolutely adorable set and I know she is going to love it.

This kit is awesome! Such a fun activity for kids. My daughter absolutely loved making her unicorn terrarium! Now she has it in her room. I love the light and that you can change the colors. This is a great activity for kids!!

Very cute little kit. It comes with everything you need. It is easy to assemble and functions as it should. It's a good size for a desk or a shelf. The light is not too bright, so it could be used as a nightlight. I like that it gets kids engaged in making their own little world. The bowl is plastic, but that's good for my peace of mind. Glass bowls shaped like that break pretty easily. The price point is on the higher side. My neice had fun, so I'm happy.
